  • Thats because they have hard creaky florrs.. If they were normal and had carpets ,you wouldn't have this problem but then it isnt their fault that you can hear them walking.. I'm sure you dont tiptoe around yourself...... You would sound like that if you lived upstairs from them

  • @sportykyle - these floors are padded AND carpeted. And yes, we did walk much more softly. Those below us never heard us. We even listened to each other from below just to see. The apartment manager came over and listened to this herself and offered us another apartment. It had quieter people upstairs. Problem solved.

  • @halo9372 I would have to cuss that bitch out for doing that. As far as that guy being big and you don't think you can lick em' ...that's what guns are for. My story: My whole apartment complex is inconsiderate because they let the doors fly closed and it always let's a loud BOOM sound when it closes. They don't let it gradually close. I'm putting a sign up about it.

  • I feel for you as I'm listening to my loud upstairs neighbors. It drives me crazy. Ughhh I want to move!!!! Seriously want to hit the ceiling with a broom but people get shot over dumber stuff these days. It's ALL day and night! It's so bad that when we had a level 4 earthquake here I thought it was my neighbors running around again. The other crappy part I'm a student so around finals I don't even try studying at home.

  • that is terrible. what steps have you taken to resolve this?

  • @jeffwongdesign We couldn't take it much longer after this. Management told us that the floors would have to be rebuilt and THAT wasn't happening. We moved. No one keeps us up at night now. :D

  • @DesertTrip I'm glad to hear that you have resolved the problem. Sadly, I've bought a condo and am somewhat anchored to it for a while. Thanks for sharing your story... perhaps the only resolution at some point is to move away to a place that has no shared walls. Cheers!

  • DUDE, I FEEL YOU. IMAGINE THAT, BUT AT PRE-MOTHAFOCKIN-CICELY 2:54 a.m. Every Mothafreakin' day I hear that. UUUGGGGGG!!!

I feel like I'm going insane man! I'm serious. I feel your agony!

  • I'm sick of this passive stance I have taken, in regards to my noisy neighbor. I'm about to blow the fuck up and yell SHUT THE FUCK UP and break the motherfucking ceiling.

  • I too feel your pain, I have two overweight people above me. I reported them about 6 times and that turned out to be useless!!

  • i got the same problem with my neighbors upstairs. they do that shit on purpose because the guy that lives upstairs is big as fuck. one day i'm just gonna knock him the fuck out. his wife is a bitch too. she keeps pouring shit through the cracks of her balcony on me while i'm lifting weights listening to my stereo

  • I fucking hate noisy neighbors! i just crank up my guitar and play a horrendous guitar solo full blast.

  • That sound nerv racking, just like my neighbours

  • wtf are they doing?! That's so annoying. That's way worse than my neighbors and my neighbors are pretty bad. ugh I hope you've moved by now.

  • nooo noo its a ghost..

  • no the most aggrivating thing is someone hammering 24 hours a day

  • Same problem here. In fact watching your video I almost thought this was my upstairs neighbors acting up again!

  • I have the same problem, my neighbors are excessive about it cause they have kids but The real issue seems to be the cheap floors. Does anyone know if this is a legitimate argument in court. Its the most aggravating fucking thing to live with but my tennant laws doesnt really define "inhabitable" Anyone that has any ideas or experience, plz let me know.

  • the best solution is get the f out of there, if you must stay there talk them nicely and with a skill and install a carpet for them.

  • Yeah im leavin without notice, they know what the problem is, but theyll prolly be dicks and force me to sue them

  • I have the same problem, as shown in a video on my channel, and I'm supposedly living in a "luxury apartment community"!

Sometimes my upstairs neighbor tries to be considerate and avoid the worst patches. At other times, being in my apartment is sheer torment.

    :-(

  • i feel your pain , they have a new glue called green glue , google it and see if you can apply that to your ceiling to kill the noise.

  • Thank you for your response, 123ertr.

I'll definitely look up green glue to see whether it can help in my situation.

One things for sure, though: I'd have to pay for it "out of pocket". The managers of my complex consistently evade any responsibility that would cost them a cent. As far as they're concerned, the noise problem is nobody's but mine!

  • I spent a thousand dollars to put a carpet

for the unit above me . It killed the noise by 60% .That was my 2 week paycheck

but to me having a peace of mind is price less.

  • sometimes i think there bodyslamming each other where my freind lives i feel sorry for them

  • poor construction, theyve been making em cheaper and cheaper, It should be illegal to rent out thin walls and floors, just cause of the noise factor

  • Its because of thin walls and floors.

  • i live upstairs and i try not to walk heavy....but its the landlords fault for not fixing the floorboards.

  • whew, im glad i live upstairs or else i might have when ballistic. but i'm still considerate to the suckers downstairs, i wouldnt want they bammin on my floor or door tellin me to shup the hell up. lol

  • I have the same problem and it drives me crazy. I have told the management to fix or repair the upstairs bedroom floor but they do nothing. I do not know if it is boards or concrete but if you look at youtube there are vids on this. I wrote a note to the management saying "if it is concrete there is a way to patch it I saw it on youtube".

  • That must be so annoying. I get woken up with the same problem at night. I wear ear plugs but sometimes I hear it, too. I have asked the management to fix or repair it several times but they to do nothing. I am not sure if it is boards or concrete but if you look at youtube you can see how to repair concrete floors. I even wrote a note saying "if it is concrete there is a way to fix it I saw it on youtube".

  • i live on the 3rd floor top floor and i never hear anything.

  • oh man i feel for you!! as i write this i'm having the exact same problem with the people upstairs.

  • i dont get it. the vids title says that this vid is about a neighbor, right? but all i hear and what would really drive me crazy and make me snap, and is very very alarming, is a gnawing sound of some kind of animal/gnawer which is somewhere in the room or (much worse) somewhere in-between that ceiling joists and gnawing at them. you should call for a vermin exterminator.

  • do you know you can buy green glue + sheet rock and attach it to the ceiling. you can do it by yourself. it will reduce the noise.

  • You do realise they are making love :/

  • LOL!! She was by herself....so if so, that IS crazy. ;)

  • thank you for this video

  • im sorry bro i got the same problem this fing building was made in the70's or something how the fuck do we fix it!!! ill make a vid maybe and show u if u help me out
