@davida10000 They have bags under the saddle because they are training. In a race, they are on full race bikes with race wheels. Is that hard to figure out?
@davida10000 Because riding with spare tubes wrapped around your shoulder is too old school. Not every race is fully supported with team cars; sometimes you gotta carry what you're going to need.
My guess is that he has ridden that trail numerous times to know the two turns so well he can do them at that speed. Still the last hard turn did seem to be covered in sand... not exactly the best for traction. Props to your skills bro, and I am a bike courier that has ridden in alleycats.
I fucking hate bikers, well... specificaly the ones that ride on the street.... I get so goddamn nervous when some smart ass thinks he's to good for a trail or the sidewalk so he decides to share the road with all the drivers in their cars.
@L0VE2TROLL On the sidewalk?? Way too dangerous for the sidewalk. You obviously are an indoor person with a lame attitude who would be lost if you had to rely on your own power.
Most experienced cyclists know how to ride on the road without causing any "nervous" breakdowns to those who do not use their bodies for anything else but sitting, whether that be a car or a chair. I suggest you get on a bike for about year and try giving your lungs some use.
@L0VE2TROLL "I fucking hate bikers, well... specificaly the ones that ride on the street.... I get so goddamn nervous when some smart ass thinks he's to good for a trail or the sidewalk so he decides to share the road with all the drivers in their cars."
its too dangerous for us to be on the trail most of the time. we ride from 20 to 40 mph on a 4 foot wide road with tons of people on it. Id rather right with cars doin the speed limit.
@paijodanpainem One wheel, one hand. No handed track stand... I can ride backwards too (sitting on the handlebars, facing backwards)... It's just tricks. Doesn't make you fast, just gets you noticed. Learn in the grass on a Mountain bike, then try it on the road.
@DigbyCat....well, I must correct you on the scrawny/skinny comment; As I believe I'd quite 'easily' jump off my bike dressed in Lycra and curl you up into a tiny little ball, then while your on the floor rolling around you'd probably notice my girlie shaven legs!! As for the aggression side of things; thanks for bringing it out of me again, it's been a while!!

@MrSuperbizzle I almost bit it there. But there's something to be said about being familiar with the course. I pass that site twice a day every day and doing it slowly does prepare you a little for going through it fast. I bet the crash video would have been spectacular though!. I wanted to go faster, but it's right on the Mississippi river and it's always very windy there. Thanks for the comment.
iWanted to go to the Tour Down Under next year but didn't have any money D: Don't have a really good bike either anyway, gotta manually change gears and all
Fantastic video -- I don't know what it is about the cycling scene that gets me so excited. Oh wait its the muscles. Yeah the muscles, sweat, hard work and the shared addiction to just getting out to ride. From clear over in the NW -- lotsa love - stay safe !!!!
Cyclists, especially these types, are nasty cockroaches. They need to be scrawny like a horse jockey, but also need some strength to pump their pedals. The result is aggressive mutants that are nasty and they hate anyone who gets in the way of their addictive pedal pumping. They are also impudent because of the pressure on their tiny balls from the bicycle seat. They are irritating pieces of head lice and should be sprayed with poison. Aggressive and frustrated. The poor wretches.
@DigbyCat .. What language did you translate this from? DigbyCat sounds like some sort of psychotic stalker and someone who should not be allowed around children. And it's "impotent" idiot. Not impudent. I'm guessing you dropped out of that public school education too early??? What a weirdo!
If I bothered to look for other posts this DigbyCat has enlightened the blog world with, I'd be willing to bet he's littered YouTube with the same unintelligible, dead metaphorical gibberish he's taken a stab at the cycling community with. I doubt it's any different from the "well to do" citizens who shout things from their cars, or more honorably throw things at us as they pass on public roads. Serious matters against cyclists need to be discussed. This guy needs to be ignored.
@DigbyCat And you are a nasty rat, you're fat and short like your mother's chode, And has no strength to lift up your dick. The result is an annoying faggot that is disgusting and that hates anyone that can do something with their lives. You are also impotent because the pressure on your miniature balls from your fat belly. You are an irritating piece of shit that should be disposed of.
to ride close to cars; you have to mentally think the cars are watching you, you look for erratic movement, but mostly you take risks.. and the adrenalline of doing it at higher speeds is incredible, especially when you pass cars in the 30mph zone... the best is when you are passing cars and you go past a cop clocking cars, yet you only see the facial expression of "wOw" thats cycling, all the pain and then the gain,a nd the gain is an orgasm

Wow, it's been a while huh? Well, thanks Bikermike. Be safe and ride fast. And we're working on a new one now. It'll be a while though. Tough to ride and take decent video.
cj200606 must be confusing MPH with Kmph.. Obviously its 40kmph..about 25mph average.. Thats good time, depending on distance.. I did my first century at 22.5 mph for 115 miles, and I was spent.. I know know how the pros do it..lol.
Yes to both. Here in the U.S. it's very common to race against pro teams. The line between pro and top amateur is very blurry. It's also not uncommon for non-pro guys to win. well,im not really sure how is it in china, but in japan,we usually use km/h...so 57km/h is quite fast i guess...what a pity i ride dh,i can never get a chance to feel how fast road bike is....
Cool, ever raced in Belgium, then probably we've seen each other. Most American fellows who came here know me as uncle Simon, it's tough here. So they had someone to talk to here. I quited racing last year, it was getting tough for me also, cause I always stayed clean. Very sad conclusion after 10 years of hard labour.
Anyway, ceep it in shape, if you can cick some Belgian arses, know you're ready to be pro when you go back to the States.
Cool....great video! I've been a passionate cyclist for a long time, but I've become more of a long distance runner as of late. yeah, but that carbon bike lets you pull off amazing sprints and breakaways. There's no other feeling like an out of the saddle breakaway in a race and showing everyone who's boss

Great video...makes me want to ride harder, longer and faster. Maybe some day I'll be that good. The song for those of you who are wondering is called "Battleflag" by Low-Fidelity Allstars and its on their How to Operate with a Blown Mind album.
Cool music... I'm surprised there's such a thing as a Lo-Fidelity All Stars radio edit, though... This vid reminds me how I keep meaning to strap my phone onto my headtube and shoot some vid of me being a sick puppy in traffic...
Thanks! We have an Aussie on the team. A real bad ass from Adelaide... and we're his only friends. Haha. Anyway, he tells us what it's like in OZ and how tough some of the races can be. And it would be a lot of fun. We race clean and honest. No Pantani moves, if you know what I mean. Good luck to you and yours!
Well, ya'll are HOT and I know there are awesome cyclist in the south because my husband and I are from there and are also avid cyclist. Awesome video and trust me, if I could give you more then a 5 I would! :-)

I race in Australia, and you guys look like great fun to race against. The race circuit over here needs an aggressive team.
