@nervousmagic19 So far I've put over $22,000 in parts alone into my civic. If you want to get into racing, I suggest you look into the "Sports Car Club of America" and find a region near you and also get with the local speed shops and see what track days that attend.

@esplen2t you can go straight to the kit and I would recommend that route. but I learned a lot thru the route that I went and by breaking a lotta stuff. Depends on what you want. Knowledge, or finished product.

@RPCapucho no, your correct. at that time i didn't make very many brake/suspension upgrades. Suspension was only springs and 5 strut braces w/ a custom alignment. It was enough at the time. I'm running a BBK up front, Powerslotted rear rotors, and a set of full coils now.
dude no offense but.... 300 hp is pretty weak for an 07 civic all motor... you coulda went with an All Japanese Power turbo kit and produced 420 minimum ( all stock motor) and had a lot more just sayin.
@LetItRock420 lol.. if you knew anything about the history of this car, you'd see that when I bought this turbo kit, the AJP kit was still in the R&D phase. At that time, they were only taking cars to trial and you had to drop your car to their shop in FL, and their kit was $10K installed. Now I'm running the Full-Race kit which is only $7K installed, and is still more powerful than the AJP kit. Back in 2007, Greddy was the only kit out.

@SwaggTags617 no, not really. If you knew about the progression of the FG/FA's, you'd know that there was NO TUNING available until late 2008. The NA dyno was in 2007 prior to the turbo kit when tuning wasn't out yet. Most with this NA setup now are hitting the 220+whp mark and it's bc of tuning options.
I heard a Hondata Reflash could'nt be done in conjunction with Greddy Turbo Kit because the kit would reject the ecu. I would appreciate some help, thanks.
@TheWongCorp that's true. the Reflash cannot be done with the Greddy Kit. However, buying the full Hondata FlashPro allows you to fully tune the car. The reflash doesn't account for a full tune, it just adjusts the cam angles/timing/and fuel and lowers the vtec point to a fixed point in all cases. The FlashPro is different from the Reflash.
@Davidct1987 no lag at all, but it all depends on what you're planning on doing with the car. Turbo is better IMO for road races, big power, and for less stress on the motor while cruising around town bc the engine isn't always in boost like a supercharger. if your gonna autocross, i'd go supercharger. for about 300whp, a sup is gonna run about $5k with parts, install, and tuning. a turbo will give you more tq for the same price, but you can hit about 350-400whp for $5-6k. $7-8k for 400-500whp.

@Aldo586 no. this turbo kit does not come with a BOV. it's designed to operate without one at very low psi (about 5psi at redline) I added one bc I obviously turned up the boost :)
@Aldo586 no, changing the pistons was not necessary since I have a great team that built the kit (DVCustomZ of Augusta, GA) , and a great set of tuners from Fordged Performance out of Atlanta. If you have a reliable engine, good builders, and good tuners, no piston swaps are necessary. Remember, you get what ya pay for, and the guys who worked on my car do million dollar work.
@mattnorman07 well let's see.... a 2003 Silverado has about 280-290whp and weighs over 5K lbs... so as far as power to weight, seeing as how at the time my car weighed about 2700lbs with me in it, my car with only a $7K turbo kit is more reliable and waaaaay faster than your truck. But I don't carry big girls, so you can keep the torque :)

@rhythmnsmoke I haven't 1/4m'd this car since the first turbo kit and I was hitting upper 12's while a good mentor of mine was about to hit low 12's on low boost with the tiny Greddy turbo. At the time, this car produced too much wheelspin and hop, so I decided after the transmission rebuild, and new engine upgrades, to never 1/4 it again.

@Aldo586 no. this turbo kit does not come with a BOV. it's designed to operate without one at very low psi (about 5psi at redline) I added one bc I obviously turned up the boost :)

@Aldo586 no, changing the pistons was not necessary since I have a great team that built the kit (DVCustomZ of Augusta, GA) , and a great set of tuners from Fordged Performance out of Atlanta. If you have a reliable engine, good builders, and good tuners, no piston swaps are necessary. Remember, you get what ya pay for, and the guys who worked on my car do million dollar work.

@mattnorman07 well let's see.... a 2003 Silverado has about 280-290whp and weighs over 5K lbs... so as far as power to weight, seeing as how at the time my car weighed about 2700lbs with me in it, my car with only a $7K turbo kit is more reliable and waaaaay faster than your truck. But I don't carry big girls, so you can keep the torque :)
