It had returned to York but was out the back so one of the fellows took us out to see it and I was able to go over the entire loco at my leisure. It was a great day!
The Stirling 8ft Single 4-2-2, Argumentable the most beautiful steam locomotive ever built. My second favorite steam locomotive ever built my first being the Crampton 4-2-0.

no, it isn't in service, but it does free wheel though. At the present time it is taking the place of Flying Scotsman in the Scotsman Story, which when Scotsman isn't running, it sould either be in there, of next door in the prep area!
