  • Good work, Joe.

Still, I kinda wish your partner on this one had been Officer Bud White...

  • In prison, child molesters are the most despised; we have an enormous number of people there (and in the world) who just plain don't like things like that!

  • Bawling like a big baby, what a coward!

  • just like that sicko in "M" ("I'm sick; I can't help myself.")

  • The guys in jail are gonna really give that fat slob something to cry - and squeal - about.

  • Kruschen also frequently appeared on the radio version of "DRAGNET", and was a veteran of radio dramas in the '40s and '50s [including a recurring role as "Det. Muggervan" on "BROADWAY'S MY BEAT"]- Webb always cast his "stock company" of players from his dependable pool of radio actors and actresses [Virginia Gregg, Peggy Webber, Harry Bartell, Vic Perrin, Jonathan Hole, Barney Phillips, Herb Ellis, et. al.].

  • the minute I saw those Fred Mertz trousers I knew he was GUILTY

  • God damned fucking Christian Republicans.

  • @NotSoOldHippy GOD DAMNED FUCKING ATHIEST DEMOCRACTS.

  • @NotSoOldHippy hippies smell

  • Joe Friday showed a lot more resistance than I could have. I wouldve just killed the guy right then and there.

  • Wow.

  • Oh, for the days when cops could slug a bad guy and not have to worry about getting in toruble for it.

  • I wish we had people like Jack Webb today who knew what to do with assholes such as we just saw.

  • This is Jack Kruschen, a prolific character actor who sometimes played cops himself, and who made a dozen appearances on Dragnet. In an interesting twist, Kruschen and Barney Phillips, who played Friday's partner for a while in 1952, both played cops in 1953 in "Blueprint for Murder", with Joseph Cotten, probably director Andrew Stone's best film. The difference between Kruschen here and as a detective in Blueprint is startling - they don't even look like the same person.

  • Don't cry short-eyes. You're going to be real popular in the yard at San Quinton, especially with that nice big butt. Word of advice, take a lot of vascaline with you.

  • What most people don't know is that the child molester is played by the same man that play Papoli on Full House, the grandpa that comes to visit and dies in his sleep.

  • someone get that guy a band aid!

  • Never EVER trust a combination child molester, wino & cry baby that looks like Buddy Hackett with a moustache. They are the worst of the worst.CANNOT be rehabilitated!

  • That's telling him, Friday! Now if only he could do that to Stanley Livingston when he goes apeshit on Tennessee Tuxedo and Chumley...

  • Oops, I mean "if only _you_ could do that"...

  • This scene has more "edge" than most of what the show had in the 60s.

  • TV was way better in the 50s.

That is because TVs were vary expensive.

People would not have bought one if they had to watch the crap that's on now.

  • Go Friday! Kick a(*&)(&. Friday's partner always gets it. He's been shot in addition to getting a bottle accross the face. His other partner was beaten up by a baddie played by Lee Marvin

  • isnt that the dude that became mario brothers?:)

  • Based on the Albert Dyer case ?

  • I was just thinking about Joe Friday's speech about alcohol and LSD

  • I wish Webb was still alive!

  • i own the dragnet boxset, with this episode in it's contents, bummer to know, that society has perverts living like that everywhere, these days is no surprise.

  • 0:34 "d'oh!!"

  • Great work. That was crazy when he said that he was going to kill them.

  • who is the actor who plays the mexician ?

  • I just turned this video on but if you are thinking of the bad man, he was played by Jack Kruschen.

  • Now that's what I call a "no-nonsense" Joe Friday! Great work!

  • typical mexical

  • Mexican.................

  • Child molesters don't fight as well as this one. They are cowards who wimp out when confronted with their deeds. They are monsters who put their needs in front of the future mental state of their victims. They should all be castrated.

  • Why do you think Roman Polanski ran to another country all this time. The SOB knows we dont coddle pedophiles. Youre right about castration, but I say not chemical castration. How about a blowtorch? LOL

  • I agree 100 percent -- I love this scene -- Jack Webb hits him with the upper cut

  • The upper cut is good, to bad it wasnt with a Ford pickup. lol

  • I agree - these pedophiles deserve to be burned at the stake....

0:52 he starts crying like a baby - typical coward ----

  • Me too; and that follow up solar Plexus wasn't bad EITHER, but it still didn't knock that nut out. He was a tub of lard any way.

  • intense

  • Wow, it looks just like John Gacey.

  • Great, great video, M.S. They don't make crime dramas like that anymore. We Dragnet fans appreciate your taking the time to transfer and upload it, too. Thanks!
