Lady Julie Andrews is hands down my all-time favorite female singer... Not forgetting what a beautiful, charming, educated, well spoken woman she is and alway has been... How i long for someone, in our present times, could fill the huge void she's been leaving since the untimely and tragic loss of her angelical voice... The fist time i heard ''I could have danced all night'' I was 3 or 4 years old, and I still have that one original LP release of this marvelous musical, I think it's circa 1959.

i completely agree with you! Oh and btw i can't believe you still have that release! That's gotta be worth a fortune! I would kill to have that recording! Julie Andrews is amazing i love her soooo much!

She was so fabulous. It's tragic what happened to her voice, but at least she is still here and is still lovely!

yeah. It's good that she lost her voice when she was a little older, because if she lost her voice right after filming the Sound of Music, I'd cry!

The songs are great and the sound is the best I've ever heard from the original play...
