I've noticed Donnie seems to fight a lot of dudes who have iron claws for hands (See SPL and 14 Blades), and his solution is to 1) break their arms/wrist, 2) kick the piss out of them, which leaves them open for either 3a) rapid haymakers to the face or 3b) grappling.

Just saw this about a year ago, I must say this is one the most craziest martial arts flicks I've ever seen and that's saying much. I've closely watched 100's of kung fu movies including nearly all of the Shaw Brothers productions. This movie has garnered various bad reviews throughout the years but I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like it. Asides from the depressing storyline and strange color saturation, it's fast and brutal. Certainly deserves a remastering for the sound quality.

Think about how easy it is to tear a shoulder joint, then what that means, ie they cant use their arms full strength. also they throw wrist, arm locks, nerve strikes and shit in as well. all of this stemming from acupuncture in china.
