Darkfall is going to be a great game, especially after this new patch. (they implemented gates, GATES!!!) The alignment system has been tweaked and is alot better, so I'm thinking it will only get better from here on out.
The PvP isn't the best I've ever played, but definitely the best in a MMO.
but the problem is people dont leave town they stay in town hit on afk guilds mates for super high skills this means the world is constantly empty so you can travel for hours to get 1kill
they do have the technology to transfer people to populate more servers. just do a mass transfer from low pop servers to high pop ones, they probably arent doing that because they probably feel like they want to give the player a choice to transfer or not. currently i am reinstalling and patching up WAR to play again cause after i got 80 on wow there is nothing to do and they just made that game way too easy now. eventually they will kill it by making stuff too easy for people and boring
obviously you don't know shit how servers work. servers can support thousands and thousands of players. and to transfer about 1k people to another server isn't difficult at all and can be done in about 2 to 3 hours. all it is, is coding. it is actually quite easy.
My uncles started playing WoW because of Wc3 and they grew up with arcade mario n street fighter and WoW was the first mmo they ever played and WoW people r playing it that I would never expect so I guess WoW is reaching "non-gamers" as well i got a friend who plays varsity bbal n he plays WoW all the time xD
No offense to Darkfall but it seems kind of boring such as its a open landscape and you can do whatever you want with no levels and you just hang out with friends and do some random things and group up with your buddies in clans it seems such a good idea, I mean a game like Oblivion online? But with no main thing to do what is there to do? You're running around without a main point with some rpg elements IMO

Since it was, everyone has gone to PLAY wow, and over it's 4 year period of being out, it has got over 11.5 million subscribers (i think?). Blizzard Entertainment have made millions, and doesn't it make you think.. generally the graphics are the same over that amount of time?
Why arn't they changing it? don't you get it? what is happening is when a new MMO comes out and it gets talk within the WoW community for example, and they lose lets say.... 2 million subscribers. then they will do this: Increase Graphics ,Increase gameplay, Increase Smoothness and so on. they are waiting for a moment like that to happen.
Plus, millions of their subscribers will think ''Oh, Cool! new MMO coming out, might play it.. acctually Nah.''

Also there was a big hit prior to WoW, it was called Everquest. hell itself. It was the most subscribed MMO for its time, dominating and surpassing all MMO's before it. Then came Shadowbane, Lineage2, and then WoW. As you said Wow dominated it, but it isn't the last to dominate. There will be future games which dominate WoW, even though at this time, WoW looks undefeatable. :D
okay.. darkfall is amazingly better than wows pvp and lotro beats wows pve by a mile.. those two games are strictly pve and pvp games.. i play both of them wow is gear based bullshit with a level grind tokeep people playing

I lvled my 4th character up to t3 already... but I dont even have 1 in t4 yet. Its cause t3 is completely messed up. All pqs are dead...in my server (Badlands) there is alot of Orvr but even that gets boring cause half the time ur just taking BFOs and waiting 3 mins for them to cap...
And defenders have too much of an advantage.. everyone wants to attack undefended keeps and leave if even a few enemies come
...getting Orvr inf seems more like a grind and takes away alot of the fun. There should be better rewards for taking/defending keeps... not just sitting around capping useless BFOs for inf. Pve is dead in t3, havent even been able to find a group for PQs and scenarios are caster/ranged dominated.Mellee dps and tanks spend over half their time running back and forth from respawn points. And barely any new abilites in t3.I'm just lvling more alts in the first 2 tiers while I wait for Darkfall...
Very interesting, considering on average Badlands has more population than our server, Azazel. It proves the point further. They made such a solid game, I love the PVP however somewhere along the line they jacked up the part where the game is supposed to be addictive. I am addicted for a short time when I make a new character, but then the fun wanes. You can only do so many scenarios before you lose your mind.
exactly... They need to work on ALL aspects of the game, that way we have a fun way to lvl no matter what we like. I like to quest sometimes but honestly with rested xp, questing is useless because I get over 1k xp per kill and grinding mobs seems like the best way to lvl since scenarios usually take a while to get into and Orvr still is weak in xp.
Im sure that once they implement the "easy" pqs in all chapters, the pve will start to pick up again, but doesnt seem like its gonna happen soon.
Yeah I just can't stand a level grind anymore. I want the end fun, and I don't mind working to get to the top, but playing after work from 5pm-10pm daily for 2 weeks and not getting out of the level 20 range becomes an issue, fast! Lol.
Darkfall releases on the 22nd not the 29th. Darkfall will also be released as a digital download for Americans just like Europeans. No boxed version at release day, they said they went into partnership with a publisher too late for the 22nd release date.

yeah WOW reaches the masses. Darkfall is going to strictly reach hardcore PVPers. I don't forsee anyone playing darkfall for PVE content.

So to conclude this, i recon over atleast, half of the WoW community is so motivated with Blizzard Entertainment's Game, WoW.
But then again, this is just my opinion, but i just seriously don't think that people would leave the game for another. AS I SAID, just my opinion!
Thats the reason i think that you arn't seeying many people on Games like WAR. because they are all on WoW etc..
