  • DEATH BY WAFFLES

    (look at the background)

  • uhhn, the battle's music.. looks like Nightmare Battle from mother 1 ?

  • Something similar happens if you don't get on the Runaway Five's bus in Twoson right away and then die in battle...or it least it did that on my cartridge

  • Please do not do this! You will have to restart the entire game.

  • @NessLover94

If it actually locked up at this point, you'd only restart the entire game if you never saved. It's not like the AP check when facing Giygas.

Just walk to the left through the door to refresh the graphics (something I wasn't aware of until just recently).

  • I did just recommend watchers not to do this, i didn't forbid them to do it

  • And over here, we have on display some DEATH.

  • Um, it may be hard to believe, but I'm having a hard time only defeating one. When I beat one, I can't get to the statue thingy without having to face the other one, and I have to kill it. How do you avoid facing the other Shattered Man? Do you just have to be really quick? It's so hard for me XD

  • @JakeHaydenDJ

Yep, that's all there is too it. Use a skip sandwhich (or double skip) if you have to.

It would be nice if you could run, but I don't know if you can even at this point, their being just two. Especially if he's at 0, though that may just have the same result as any other if successful =/

It seems that the graphics will glitch if you leave the building, but I don't think any vids on YT show it. :S

  • @Timsonourside

Even if you manage to run away, I'm pretty sure the enemy's sprite will be removed from the map.

  • He committed suicide.

  • Giygas's revenge!

  • this makes me feel weird asking this but before you go into the phase distorter in saturn valley to the cave of the past, if you save in the house in saturn valley and not save with the phase distorter, wouldn't the game revive you in saturn valley?

  • Regardless of where you save, this will happen. When I made this video, I used a "save" from the first tool-assisted run (where the player never saves at all, so dying would revive you back at Ness' house).

  • Dude how did you get 60 fps??

  • theres no way to go back to da past even IF the game over screen appeared...like itd only be ness...& w/o the robot armor too...hmm dat be cool tho...

    LETs kll giygas again!...o wait...wheres porky?....and giygas?....o shit.. =D

  • But anony, if the game over was restricted by giygas when its triggered, if you lost against giygas it would freeze up, unless after you beat him, which would make the game stop working since its in the same internal code in the ROM as the battle system, which is in the world system, thus the game would crash itself.

  • Turn-by-turn combat was around long before Pokemon (as this game shows).

  • Have you noticed that there's no pokemon in this vid?

  • yea i kno dats why i laughed at da hella funny & retarded question! =)

omg its a mummy of a mr. mime =D

  • OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOh.

  • Congratulations Ness, You rid the world of the Ultimate Evil...

OH! Except for that "Shattered Man" back in Summers.

  • can I still do this if I only beat 1 shattered man?

  • That's the only way you CAN attempt this. If you defeat both, neither will be at the museum. If you beat only one, the other will remain there.

  • omg i use to always play this game like there was no tommorow. i miss it so much. i had it on a disk of tons of old games then i lost it *crys* =( thanks for uploading brings back happy memories =D

  • the game cannot delete anything. anything cartridge based runs on a ROM, and the console does just that. its reading off memory. with no writing access, nothing can be added or deleted.

  • roms can't restrict access either. however, they can change where a certain action leads. a rom could change it so that death leads to an unused blank screen, posssibly a random placeholder. that isn't the case here, though. read the video description.

  • It has nothing to do with how "specific" you're being if you're flat-out wrong and resort to changing your explanation out of fear of being called out on it. Don't be pretentious.

  • no, your files are still there..

  • So if you played the game and lost, it wouldn't be there anymore?

    Sounds retarded, Anony1200.

  • Am i the only one who likes the Shattered man battle theme?

  • I do, actually, not the best stuff but it's well done anyway...

  • It's actually the same on as when you fight a Your Sanctuary boss.

  • @BugStyleXX no i like it two

  • @BugStyleXX No. I LOVE this song! Best one in the game besides the title theme

  • Who's the other enemy? It doesn't occur to me (which makes me feel like an EB noob considering I've been an avid fan of the game for onwards 10 or 11 years now)... it's not one of the Slimy Little Piles, is it?

  • Both enemies in the museum are Shattered Men.

  • Wow! I'd heard about this glitch, but I didn't believe that the shattered man would still be in that fixed position after beating the game. Thanks for making this video! Awesome job.

  • That background looks like waffles! I never noticed before. :D

  • Is this a glitch?

  • I believe it is. The game removes all enemies and disables all other methods of dying (such as heat stroke) upon game completion, but, for some reason doesn't check the museum for enemies.

  • I wonder if the GBA port fixes this?

  • I don't have the port (nor do I intend to find the ROM), but I assume it was fixed.

  • Yes it is.Once you defeat gigyas, heck, mabey once when you defeat the other shattered man,the other one is deleteded.
