What really pisses me off is that Toonami stopped showing One Piece after Funimation dubbed it! Why!? Did stupid little kids hate the Funimation changes?
The thing that pissed me off is that where I live they had the new funimation dub of one piece on cartoon network 7am (I think) in the mornings. I'm not a morning person and I have a hard time getting up at that time and as I start to get use to getting up early to watch it.. They show re-runs of the 4kids dub and finally take it off the air. It's like a fart that doesn't go away.
Another thing thats really weird, is they showed it on Toonami, but not 4Kids; not only did they totally screw up the show, but also the story. I'm always tired of the dumb puns throughout the 4Kids dub. They really should've took it seriously; it made shonen jump for christ sake. Thank Funimation for saving the show; what would we do without you.
I dont know why, but I noticed on the channel 4Kids is on, that they cut out the story of Alabasta, while in the next time, Vivi just randomly shows up, and she was supposed to be a big connection to that plot; I SERIOUSLY DONT UNDERSTAND WHY THEY KILLED THAT PLOT!
i read what al khan said about anime and manga in that speech. if you pay atention, you notice how he basically says that what they want to do is stream anime so they can concentrate on the merchandise. this is the reason 4kids is so bad. they only care about ripping off little kids into buying cheap overpriced toys. khan is an idiot. if he wants to provide child entertainment, don t get anime that older people like and butcher it.

When they got to the Baratie arc, how did they handle the flashback where Sanji talks about how he hand Zeff got stuck on that desert island and Zeff cut off his own leg? What did they do? All I know from that arc is the infamous "poison suction cups" and that's about it. Mind helping here?
Orinignally Zeff ATE his own leg and gave all the food to Sanji. In the dub Zeff lost his leg saving Sanji but still gave him the food. Its been a while since I watched those episodes so if anything else was changed I can't remember.
The black pirate being changed to white: Kahn thought that it was an example of blackface (a type of makeup used as a racist archetype) and that's why 4kids changed it. I'm not saying the decision was good, because the character was ORIGINALLY black. So Kahn is being the racist one here, not Eiichiro Oda.

Well I have a black friend who I showed the picture to, and she felt that the black character wasn't offensive to her in anyway...changing the characters color was offensive to her.

You also did touch on how the opening was changed but neglect to go on about how the bgm is completely changes, replaced with the same monotone, boring, nothing is happening, saturday moring cartoon music that makes me sick rather than to pay a for the use of the original orchestrated music that makes it sound as epic as it is, as you should know the music in op is all top notch and has a lot of depth.

Yeah, 4kids also decided it was okay if Captain Somker (to them Chaser) it was okay to have smoke coming out of his mouth, with all the editing they did, it could've all been focused into making Sanji's cigerette into a tooth pick, or soemthing like that. I also hate how they give voices out based on appearance, like Shanks and Robin. Like using the stereo typing of Robin wearing a "western" hat as a premise to give her an insulting accent that is suppose to resemble accent from Texas.
Wanna know something even worse? When the new dub comes out those people who were introduced to OP through the dub and stopped watching it because it was bad won't even watch the new Dub because they won't know its FUNimation and not 4Kids. Plus they might not have even heard its a new version of OP that was better dubbed.

And the new vids that they uploaded will show up on the YouTube home page when you come to the site. Thats about it...its a way to let you know that a person has put something new up.

I saw Tsukento's videos and he states that Editing the cross on Mihawk's sword was inconsistent... In the dub they shorten his sword, but on the rap you can clearly see his original lenght sword lfmao!!!
FUNImation also , never picks HORRID voice actors....unfitting? sometimes...but never earbleeding or anywhere near that level. not even kuwabara's voice is bad...and in fullmetalalchemist, you can tell the VA's are pouring their emotion into the characters.

FUNImation has only started dubbing One Piece from the Jaya Arc and the the guys color changed during the Buggy Arc.
FUNImation to my knowlage currently only got the rights for the OP episodes starting from Jaya and beyond.

This just in...ONE PIECE IS ORINGINALLY FOR TEENAGERS NOT KIDS! If parents are so scared of their kids seeing violence then they should stop letting the television babysit their kids.

this just in...ORIGINALLY it came from japan. in japan they are many,many times more accepting than us,in all ways. manhunt 2 would be rated 16+ over there. one piece IS a kids show over there. albeit, maybe 10+ kids, but 10 year olds are still kids.

Its like "OMG!!!! a cross, religous freedom is gone oh $#!+.......I havent seen the 4kids version of One Piece with Luffy battling Crocodile, that sounds lame. He clearly stabbed him in the chest in the Jap version. It was a dramatic scene.

Lets see...he said Luffy sounded like a Pyscotic spaz that would kill his crew the first chance he got. He said Zoro had ZERO emotion. Nami sounded like she was whining and like you can't trust her with your money. That Sanji sounded like he had a cold and could infect a person with every desiease known to man. That Chopper sounded like he had a cold. And that Robin sounded like a styerotipical texian hick that makes jokes about random farm animals and insults texian people.

I saw Tsukento's videos and he states that Editing the cross on Mihawk's sword was inconsistent... In the dub they shorten his sword, but on the rap you can clearly see his original lenght sword lfmao!!!

FUNImation also , never picks HORRID voice actors....unfitting? sometimes...but never earbleeding or anywhere near that level. not even kuwabara's voice is bad...and in fullmetalalchemist, you can tell the VA's are pouring their emotion into the characters.
