Why? These birds are better taken care of than any canary owned by a "pet" owner. These birds are used to being picked up and handled in these cages. It is all part of showing the canaries. They are not hurt in any way and it is a great way to transport them and show them. Without these shows these type of canaries would not exist. It's that simple.
@CanaryJudge Yes, I understand. I just have an weird opinion about this because there are shows here with bunnies etc. for example, and they all get hurt in some way. Didn't mean to be offensive. :)
Poor things. I hate shows like this.

This show was the National Cage Bird Show. Do a search for the show online and you will find the next show. I believe it will be in Tulsa OK.
