  • REALLY nice 4"^^

    *5

  • @Rhandahl thanks a lot

  • I like the slow laughing at the very end

  • Shit! Very NICE! 5*

  • how did I miss this one great shell

  • Great work! the slomo is a feature i miss in my editing program, i just might have to start using the movie maker;)

  • fantastic! You do wonderful shells, love them! the slowmo brought the vid to 10+ ;)

  • Nice one, did you use a 2" pistil?

    5*

  • It was about 1.5". thanks bud

  • Once again a very nice shell!:) Was this a plastic shell too, or paper hemis this time?

    And how was it pasted/closed?

  • plastic, solvent welded and strapping taped closed. no paper or pasting.

  • Damn .. that's amazing !:) Is it just 3 rings of strapping tape, applied in a "Triangle" pattern around the time fuse?

  • Yep :), That one had 6 rings though...

  • I feel really stupid now, coz i've just spent 2 hours pasting a 3" d1 paper shell .... :)

But how much strapping tape do you apply? If you apply a lot, won't you end up with a "bumpy" shell, if you use the 3 or 6 ring pattern? Allowing gasses from the lift to pass between the gaps and so on .. be cause my paper shells, without pasting they fit VERY loose in a 3" mortar. Maybe plastic is bigger i dunno - i've never had/held one in my life:) But i will def. try it when i'm out of paper!:)

  • Plastic hemis are still a bit to small after taping. If you want to conserve lift, you have to paste plastic too to build the sie up. Or use a ton of tape...

    3" shells - 4 "equidistant" rings

  • nice man!

  • and how many grams was the lift?

  • 45g of pulverone

  • okay

  • great shell! 5* glad i subscribed.

  • Cool.. That was pretty awesome.. Looked pro. Approx how much would this shell have cost you?

  • hmmm, good question. I'm guessing around $7, less than $10. That break was huge somewhere between 200 and 300 feet wide, weight is equal to maybe fifteen 1.75" mortar shells.

  • oh my god that pretty expensive! but then its worth the hobby! i mean pyrotechnics is alot of fun...

  • that was very nice :-)

  • Thanks. The timefuse could have been a second or two longer though.
