Pigs are #5 on the smartest non-primate list. They can do all sorts of things including problem solving tasks. If you have one in the house, you need to clamp the refridgerator shut because that nose works as a suction cup to pop the door open. That shouldn't be a problem with these little guys though.

Great job. Im trying to teach mine to sit now. I was told to raise the treat above his head and back until he's in a sitting position then give him the treat.. but he just backs up and tries to jump for it. Any tips would be appreciated. He is doing well with shaking hands and twirl though.

Ive been reading alot of articles saying that these are just a myth and that theres no such thing as a micro pig a lot of people say its impossible to have got a pig for it to stay at that size? If u could answer this question telling me if it's not true what im reading or it is not. It would be really helpful as i actually want one but dont want to find out that it gets full size thanks.

@SuperCDEE A potbelly pig is a miniature pig--- and that's as small as they get. They'll average out at about one to two feet tall at the shoulder, which means they'll stand as high as the average person's knee, or a medium sized dog (think cocker spaniel to golden retriever size). There is no such thing as a pocket pig that stays as small as the ones in this video. The piggies shown in this video are piglets--- they are babies and will grow.

1.) Zoologists and the final written work they publish are the authority on the facts about these pigs or just about any other animal for that matter. 2.) Actually no they don't all get big. The only ones that get overgrown are pot belly cross breeds that can be spotted by there swayed backs, and somewhat larger ears. Also they have no spots.(the one in this video has a white spot on his underbelly if you look) pure breed Juliana pigs stay small. I have examined adults personally.

@stealth1692 That is because people are ignorant as the what breed they are buying.. It's not a problem with a pig as a pet it self.. Also to many feed there pigs %90 of their diet as commercial mini pig food when if they researched the ingredients many of these have growth additives used for poultry.. Eat a ton of that and see how small you stay.. If fed a proper diet and the right breed they are just fine. I have three so I think I would know... I cook for my pigs.
