I have Asperger's and I found this video very frightening and upsetting. I was working hard at my story last night so my imagination was getting overactive and what with having spent too much time on the computer and my muscles being tense with fear, or anxiety or whatever it was, I was aching all over. Plus I kept making trips to the bathroom because I'd had too much tea before bedtime. It seemed that the more I thought about it, the more I switched into that state of mind.
who else would be better to play the role than someone who already has autism. who experiences on a daily basis. people without autism do not offer the insight that those who have autism can offer.
Gosh this is so fascinating. I don't know much about autism and these videos are wonderful to see just a glimpse into their world. Thank you for sharing.
Graham and Marty the documentary here is amazing. I think the 2 of you working together will tell the story in a way noone else could. My son is almost 5 the world is a little more accepting now but this could really help open more doors to people on the spectrum
I was diagnosed with autism years back when there was not much support. It is great that people like Graham are using their talents to increase public awareness of how to understand the condition and that there is a different culture and way of thinking.
I was 'diagnosed' as emotionally disturbed when I was a child, bulimic as a teenager, manic depressive and obsessive compulsive in my 20-s and after being a victim of crime so many times, I thought I was cursed - with Asperger's syndrome, aged 35. I'm 37 now, married for 13 years, with two kids, older one also Autistic like me and my life is now dedicated to changing public's perception of autism. For the sake of my son. MARTY is extraordinary!!! Thank God for folk like her! Roza
Its difficult for me to understand how this process will take place, but I am so interested in seeing the final film. I am amazed by the content and know that in Grahams hands, it will be a beautiful work that many will be touched by. Martys Spirit is a beacon of light that shines as an example to us all.

It is important to give this world a strong insight into Autism: how people affected act when they are overwhelmed--what triggers that, and also how to pull them out of those feelings. Many people shy away from helping these families for fear of the unknown, so there's little relief for these families. But if the public is made more familiar with this disorder, maybe more people will be inclined to help these folks and their families. (So power to ya, in Christ's name.)

if you give them a lobatomy they won't be such a hassle to deal with!
