  • If dinosaurs aren't birds or reptiles I would give them a own species Diorans

  • @XRainbowtailX they DO have their own species, its called DINOSAURS!!!

  • @Seltzer1Liter3x shorter... Do you even know the first thing about dinosaurs? The size of spino in JP was accurate but the movie wasn't accurate. If it was 3x shorter and thinner he would have t Rex arms. If he catches and tears large fish with his arms, he would would need good sized arms with flexibility. God I hate people like you who just guess. Get your facts right.

  • Except spino's wrists are very inflexible as well as its shoulder, nevertheless the arm are 3Xshorter and thinner then jp spino arms.

  • a t.rex fought a mammoth in the tv series prehistoric park it was more of a stand off

  • I think you're thinking of Greg Erikson.

  • I LIKE TRUTELES

  • Hey DG, i know ur busy, but what are your thoughts on the new TV show Tera Nova?

  • hi george how are you? hope you doiing well i really missed your videos and really enjoyed this one however i have to disagree with you about the mammoth vs t-rex because well considering a mamoth can wheigh a massive 8 tons which is about a ton bigger than t-rex it would defently have and adventege also the huge tasks were a devestating weapon of course t-rex is big powerfull and relatively fast and have huge bite force the mamoth is heavier and bulkier so i think it would have the upper hand

  • @ronvnkl232 all it would take is one bite and mamooth is in trouble

  • @MASTERTED94 the mamoth got very thick hair and much thicker skin and an extremely thick lair of fat for t-rex to kill the mamoth in one bite it need to hold it for at least like 10 minits and crash it slowly all the mamoth need to do is stab the rex anywhere it can with its tasks and if it wont kill the rex it would get seriously weaker or the mamoth could just ram it from the begining and that would break a lot of t-rex's hollow bones

  • @ronvnkl232 firstly a trex mouth could crush a car door and its teeth were huge it could go thru its skin and plus trex teeth had infections so if a mamooth just happened to survive the injuries it would die from the infection and trex was mush more advansted than a mamooth it was stronger faster and even DG agrees trex would win ^_^

  • @MASTERTED94 you do realize a mamoth is by far more intellegent than t-rex right? also a car door is nothing compare to the combination of mamoth hair skin and fat also t-rex didnt had that much infection in his teeth like modern komodo dragons and for the infection to even effect something as big as a mamoth it need a few days which it doesnt have because the mamoth is rushing in to ram it

  • @ronvnkl232 a trex is smart to and a trex could penitrait a mamooth with its teeth its teeth were huge and the forse of that bite would be devistating it has the most powerful bite of anything that has lived on land and it was bigger stronger and faster than a mamooth trex would win

  • @MASTERTED94 t-rex is not bigger than a mamoth the mamoth outwheight t-rex by at least 1 ton t-rex was indeed faster but its bite force was about 4 tons and its teeth are not sharp at all and his jaws arent big enough to circle the mamoth from the back it need to bite its legs to do some real damage and it need to be carfull dont forget t-rex have hollow bones all the mamoth need to do is stab or hit the t-rex with its tasks as hard as it can and the mamoth would win

  • @ronvnkl232 trex was longer and taller than a mamooth and its teeth were sharp well sharp enouth to cut flesh and dont forget a trex went up aganst prey like triceritops that were much more dancourus than a mamooth i just think if a trex would bite a mamooth on its belly or its back or legs its in trouble hell even if he bites his head the mamooth is fucked

  • @MASTERTED94 ok first of all t-rex would hunt triceratops in packs second triceratops is 2 tons lighter than a mamoth third triceratops would win on regular base t-rex would win about 20% of the time

  • @ronvnkl232 triceritops had better weapons than a mamooth and trex would win more than that plus a trex is more powerful and faster than a mamooth

  • @MASTERTED94 t-rex in muscle mass is weaker than a mamoth

  • @ronvnkl232 trex was more powerful even DG say he was

  • @ronvnkl232 I would not say that, they were both the same.

  • @thecommentmaster1 a mamoth outwheigh t-rex by a ton so..... yeah its more powerfull in muscles mass

  • @ronvnkl232 I'm not so sure about that. Mammoths really didn't need much muscle except for the trunk and legs. Secondly, Mammoths weren't as big and as heavy as T-Rex.

  • @MrTobyCure a mamoth can wheigh 8 tons t-rex is about 7

  • @ronvnkl232 You're only putting out the weight. Muscle mass is something very different, friend. T-Rex is one of the most muscular land animal of all time. A mammoth isn't. The only reason they were so successful was because their predators weren't as large as they are. T-Rex would demolish a Mammoth with its powerful biteforce.

  • @MrTobyCure dude we obviously not gonna agree on this lets leave it behind

  • @ronvnkl232 Of course not, we both have different opinions. Have you never been in a debate before? If not, then lets just keep this in a formal and mannerly debate where we aren't cursing each other out.

  • @MrTobyCure dude you are really annoying you know that? we were responing to each other a long time now and i dont want to anymore so i said what i said and you were like "have you never been in a debate before?" so shut up and of course i was in a debate before

  • @ronvnkl232 See, this is the kind of ignorance that everyone doesn't like from people like yourself. I don't see why you're getting so pissed off, but I'm not going to shut up just because you said so. I have the right of speech, so I will compensate to say whatever I please in a formal manner. If anyone isn't being formal and is acting annoying already, its you, kiddo. And no we aren't. I've had longer discussions than this before, unlike you.

  • @MrTobyCure i got pissed because you were trying to mock me in a formal way like you would say you are the ignorrant one here and you know it and so what if you had longer discussions than this one? i had too but you are keep saying the same thing every comment so it got boring and annoying so i was trying to end this and you were like "have you ever been in a discussion before"? yeah im the kid here...... right

  • @ronvnkl232 I wasn't trying to mock you, friend. If anything, the way you acted was what made you look ignorant. I was trying to be formal and nice about this. I never said anything like that either. Only thing I said "have you ever been in a debate before." You are trying to reroute words to make it sound good on your side of the story. I was just trying to be nice and chat at least. Listen, don't expect me to apologize, this is on your fault. You were acting ignorant, but I'm sure are like

  • @ronvnkl232 but I'm sure this isn't the real you and how you really are on most days. Anyways, if we are done here, then let us part then. Take care and have a pleasant day.

  • @MrTobyCure Damn straight.

  • @MASTERTED94 True, it is also noted that adult Mammoths were killed by early humans with little more then spears and rocks.

  • Yeah!! he is back

  • hope they find one and call it vikingasaurus just to make ur joke real lols

  • i can be anymore excited to have you back :D

  • there was an echo at the beggining.

  • A T-Rex fighting a Mammoth would be epic!

  • Love this series. :D

  • Judging from what DG said about identifying the sex of a dinosaur and looking at several T-Rexes, i think that (maybe) Stan was actually a girl and Sue was actually a boy (again MAYBE).

  • Xuanhanosaurus may have also been a quadraped.

  • trex is smarter than a mammoth too

  • @trex2251 Elephants are very smart, mammoths could be too.

  • @RossWildish

yes but i think a tyrannosaur might just be a bit smarter

  • @trex2251 Probably.

  • I thank you very kindly Dinosaur George for answering my question! I value our friendship too, and I am grateful that you take the time out to answer, not only my questions, but others' as well. I learn a lot from their brilliant questions. You are a great role model and other paleontologists should look at your unselfishness and answer questions as you do. Thanks a ton Dinosaur George! I'll always be one of your biggest fans! ~Emma

  • I appreciate you taking time for making these videos. You're fun to listen to and informative, i could watch your videos for hours. Though i must really concentrate because my english isn't that good. But still ;) Byee!

  • If we have a Vikingasaurus, can we have a Green Bay-saurus? Hahaha! :)

  • Yaay ,another episode of nice DG 8D

Silly question time: What nocturnal dinosaurs do you know of? (or which dinosaurs do you suspect to have been nocturnal?)

  • @Raithial it's been suggested (from what I know) that Troodons have very large eyes which suggests greatly advanced vision, which leads to a hypothesis that they might be nocturnal. But while animals may be active at day does not mean they cannot be nocturnal as well (a large % of kills in Afica occur at night, despite the same animals being somewhat active at day) so I would suggest maybe the same would be apply to the Mesozoic world?
