Ive been out for awhile and I've only had one bad experience from my co-workers in the military. The repeal happened not even a week ago, but my co-workers have known for months, it hasn't changed anything.

If not, you don't really know how the military operates and the getting written up thing, is only warranted if the situation allows. Like I said, I've already had one incident since the DADT policy passed last week, an NCO threatened to kill me for being gay...

I was in the mliitary. I know all about the many many many many briefings.

That NCO needs to be dealt with for sure...........just for being an asshole without reason.

On principle, I never thought DADT was about discrimination....not ever. Sure their are homophobes in the world. The issue has never been one of hatred for gays but of the extra stresses that a soldier has to death with.

In any case, the military is like prison....thats why I no longer serve.

I respect the military so much, but it takes a special person to spend their lives this way, the sacrifice we give and the things we put up with really takes a toll on ourselves.
