  • One day my mom brought home a box of SNES games from a yardsale. whole thing for $20. I went through each one to see which was worth my time. And then I found it. Earthbound. I had stuck gold.

  • @ARGCi No. You're a freaking genius. XD

  • nostalgia from the King's Epic Adventure...

  • I found this game at a garage sale for $3. Greatest day of my life.

  • god damn starmans took me forever to find that fucking sword

  • @agone181 Dude i got to level 86 searching for that. Enemies for the rest of the game didn't stand a chance.

  • @TheR9RO epic man

  • This isn't very good...

  • @Frohstaruus Yeah, I'd like to hear you compose something better on your own time.

  • @Dragoonknight717 One doesn't have to be a chef to know food tastes like shit.

  • I paid 200$ for the system and game combined. See you, emulator!

  • @ARGCi you're not crazy, earthbound is worth all the money in the world :)

  • @ARGCi Wow, thats crazy. I was fortunate enough to have the game when my mom bought it when I was a wee lad. :) However, your money was well spent.

  • dude, i killed Mr. carpainter whit 2 PSI atacks (lol)

  • I will reiterate here: emulation=stealing. It is defined to be so by law, it's silly to try and argue otherwise. I've been guilty of emulating, I fully admit that, but defending the practice is unacceptable. You are stealing a copyrighted property, that IS stealing, no matter if they actually suffer a loss or not.

  • "Emulation = stealing"? From who?

Not from APE, Itoi, or Ninendo, considering that, if you buy an overpriced used cartridge on E-Bay or whatever, they will get ZERO money from the selling.

Get real: Nintendo does NOT want to sell this game again. And I'm not willing to fill some douche's pockets with 250 dollars just because this game is rare. No sir, emulation is fine and everyone should do it - unless Nintendo decides to sell this game again.

  • @darkemg You bet your ass it is!!! Emulation helps people that just want to relive these games or explore new ones to do so!

  • @darkemg Even if people agreed with you on emulation, I think another problem with emulation is that it isn't nearly as satisfying as an experience as the game/movie on a cartridge/CD/DVD. Which is a reason why I dropped emulation awhile ago.

  • @darkemg I dig this. Same idea with Chrono Trigger. I emulated the SNES version because of that rarity, but then the DS port came out, so I bought that. The circle is complete. It feels right to pay for such a good game. I wouldn't buy it again, but at least this time I'm giving back and evening things out.

  • @darkemg Good point, a lot of people don't seem to realize that developers and publishers lose way more profits from people who buy games used in any way shape or form, than they do with emulation or even pirating.

  • i feel like buy earthbound of amazon but there one problem IT'S TO DAM EXPENSIVE! have you ever seen that much money to get this one rare game? it goes from $99.00,$100.00 & $250.00. WTF is wrong with thoose sellers selling a rare rpg game at a high prise? thats bull s**t! they should at lest sell it at lower prise then a higher on.

  • supply and demand

  • just get the emulation

  • i have the ROM......i can send it yo you...

  • @ARGCi If you can run it in a good fullscreen, it's just as good. Especially if you have a replica SNES USB controller, and an S-Video cable to run your PC to your TV. Do that, and there's no difference [other than price, it's a hell of a lot cheaper than shelling out $80 for the EarthBound cartridge]

  • Great song. :) You should put up Sanctuary Guardian next. :D

  • man i love this game and its music

  • I'm glad that there's people who's still buying old games that are very good, instead of getting an emulator and play it illegally.

  • I admit I'm guilty of that, but I make every effort to buy the games I actually it like; it's just that I don't always have the money for them, especially with games such as Earthbound that get so expensive online. I really don't see what anybody gains from the lack of old emulated games, though. The only people that profit are the people that sell the game for inflated prices based on a central idea that the game is supposed to be rare. The original companies get nothing.

  • Super Mario RPG is another game like that. It isn't rare at all, but people think it is and that causes prices online to jump due to sellers that take advantage of this.

  • I only have emulated version of Earthbound. But that's still ok :-)

  • Nice tune, but I was surprised that it feels incomplete without the support from the battle sound effects.

  • I can see that, but I still enjoy it's strangeness despite that.

  • Earthbound is such a good game.

  • @ARGCi great purchase my friend....but....I'm scared to ask how much you paid.

  • Yeah, this is my favorite boss theme from Earthbound aside from the Giygas/Pokey music.

    Just plain awesome. =)

  • Oh god damn it. Now I need to play Earthbound again. Thanks a lot.

  • How Earthbound's story was born -

History's greatest authors threw an epic rave that, yes, involved plenty of drugs. Afterwords they sat down and penned the most insane thing ever written and Shigesato Itoi (who snuck in at the event for unexplained reasons) got the rights to turn it into a game.

    Untrue story.

  • ● Mr. Carpainter utilized a paint attack!

  • I juuuust finished that fight actually. Such a weakling with the Franklin Badge.

  • really like this one!

  • I love seeing which EB song you picked. Great choice every time.

  • Nice, gotta love the MOTHER music.

  • Good choice.

Doesn't this play when fighting the happy happy cult leader? (I can't remember, it's been awhile)

  • You can tell this game was made when mc hammer and vanilla ice were huge.

  • Twoson would have been nice, but this is still alright.

  • EarthBound is such an awesome game; I still have my cartridge + strategy guide (no box or manual... or stickers), although the latter has seen better days.

This is one of my favorite themes in the game, along with the Giygas battle theme (the first one).

  • Gotta love those beats at 0:34.

  • These beats are better than those your hear in our everyday hiphop/rap music.

  • Little boys and superflies beating up robots from the future? What drugs did I take, and which Back to the Future movie am I currently watching? Also, why do my eyes taste like loud?

  • Ness....this...is...a battle...theme...

  • Hooray for more EB music! :D

  • Epic

  • Earthbound music gives me a hard one

  • best game ever and this game also has the best music ever in games

  • YEAhhhh, Loved this track back then, still love it now. Me and my friends used to say whoever made this game was on something. lol

  • I've just started a new file today, it's been way too long. Especially since it's one of my favorite games of all time.

  • Nice choice :)

  • Oh yeah, Earthbound, bitch.
