Do I so miss my 909, died with lightning :( got the 808 but there are still slight differences; just like I miss a lot of functions in the MV-8800 which are in the MC-808 ... -- - Keep 'm coming :p
Great sounds, and I would like to get into doing the same, I just got a 909 now all I need is to learn how to operate it, any vids on here or help with startup basics ?
I'm actually a guitar synth player but could use the 909 for the obvious.
I would like some hardware - I previously owned the 303 and 505, but started using software before the 909 - what are the capabilities for acid/progressive/psy sounds and arrangements?
Po 11 latach pracy na grooveboxach czas na jakieś zmiany :) Napewno będzie to jakiś hardware, ale na 100% jeszcze decyzja nie zapadła co to będzie :)))
this is VERY impressive! I have always detested the MC series because I felt that
they were just a Box of crap that Non musicians could dick with, rearrange existing patterns and then say " yo, check out MY beats" I know that's a Very ignorant stance But I have sold Many of these along with the rest of the MC family products over the years! I always Knew deep down they were Great pieces of gear But until Now have Never heard and redeeming qualities! Excellent Job!!
@kerzwhile ... The MC909 is just a Synth module and it can be midi sequenced just like any other Mod synth. I’ve been producing for years with various Roland & Yamaha Synth’s including Groove boxes.
`GrooveProject` has produced a superb midi recreation of a classic – the 909 is also cool at creating Jarre emulations ;-)
Vanderson, you are a master of the 909. The fact that you can create those sounds on the 909, then create those intricate sequences very close to the complexity of TD is amazing.
I find the 909 to be very clean sounding, somehow you got it to sound like TD during their analog days....bravo!
Has to be one of my favourite tracks . I played analogue synths in the 80s but could never quite get to where i wanted to go musically . Im a fan of TD Jarre and Schulze and others and been to there concerts. There is something about your music Mr. Vanderson takes me to the places i wanted to be . You have a talent and Im a fan...
Very much the same atmosphere as TD. Nice!

excellent ! :)
the string sound in the beginning (sounds similar to the original one from quichotte part 1) was done with this too ?
do you know what TD used to create that particular sound, i've been looking for this sound for years now.

All sounds coming from MC-909 but this string sound i build from SRX waves, not the internal MC-909 wave ROM...

I like especialy the 2nd part.
i find it even better then the TD tangram 2008 retake, which i think is to "playful/sweet". I like the 80s approach with oldstyle synth sounds.
