But seriously, did he smack his head on the pavement months after making those films? He went from from having loads of potential, to being in the same league as the people who make those Final Destination sequels and the "Scary Movie" knock offs.
I don't understand why the first thing Avatar fans complain about is the way the name was pronounced. The movie sucked whether or not it's Aang or Ong. You should get pissed off more at the character developments(or lack thereof), dialogue that was only expositional, the slow pacing and the fact that they crammed 7 hours of season 1 into a 2 hour movie.

I cant say that M. Night is a terrible director because i actually enjoyed some of his movies... but this movie SUCKED. He rushed the whole thing. He put so many episodes into a 1 and half hour movie. He changed names, and characters personalities too. He made the bending REALLY slow. And... it was just a mess. I think someone else should be the one to direct the other movies. He should stick with his creepy and scary thriller movies.

i hope he makes another avatar i liked it. i dont know how u could be so critical of this movie. first off it is a kids movie 2nd he condensed 1.5 seasons to make this one movie so he really have to rewrite anyway. its like them making the dragon ball movie. no matter how its made it cant live up to ur expectations. as a movie unrelated to the plot of the cartoon was a good movie. it wasnt good but its meant for ur kids not u so plz do the world a favor n grow up.

@lynchinjesus on an interview he actually said that he tried to make the script more mature ( by making it a depressing piece of shit ) and try to make it work for the older audiences... What he didn't know is that it was already working for older audiences with the humor and stuff... Truth is, a director who hates comedy shouldn't direct an action comedy.

MANNN...I TOTALLY AGREE THAT THE EXORCIST WAS THE SCARIEST MOVIE OF ALL TIME..I WOULD LIKE TO SEE MORE POSITIVE AND BEAUTIFUL IMAGES OF BLACKS IN HOLLYWOOD. BUT OVERALL HE IS SUPER TALENTED AND HE KNOWS HE SHIT, UNLIKE SO MANY OF THE 'CHOSEN" ONES IN HOLLYWOOD WHO PUT OUT CRAP JUST TO PUT THEIR COUSIN DAUGHTER , NIECE IN A MOVIE AND HAVE THE COMMON FOLK PAY FOR IT.
