They should launch the standard transit in the USA too! I've driven Ford vans in both USA and UK. The Transit is a far superior van than its American cousin. It's faster, better on juice, and doesn't mind cornering.

here in the uk they retal about £12000 to £18000. we have had one for 3 years and put on 250000 miles on it. the are great vans. we all so have a transit. thats its bigger brother. the connect carries about 900kgs and the transit carries about 1500kgs.

It is called money and government. They have to drop diesel cause it won't meet US emissions and install a gas motor! Then modify for US streets. THANKS US GOVT, same ones costing us (Ford) money!

the United States has the E-Series of vans (also known as Econoline) instead of the Transit. the E-Series is the best selling full-size van in America, dominating the segment and holding about 80% of sales in that market.

by the way, the Transit is not coming to America, rather, the smaller Transit Connect. bringing over the Transit would just make it redundant with the E-Series.
