  • ...if i'm not the same the next question is "who in the world am i?"...that's the great puzzle "who am i?"...

  • the ravi shankar score makes me giggle

  • I have to admit, I'm watching this video just for footage of the interior of Netley military hospital. Not to discredit the BBC adaption, but it is amazing to see what is now long lost. Strange to just see the chapel there now.

  • thanx fer posting, this movie is one of my all time favorites. This version 1000x better than Burtons, no doubt

  • @CHRISMED2

I agree. I love how the White Rabbit, March Hare, etc. aren't DISGUISED as animals, but RESEMBLE those animals nonetheless.

Computer animation has destroyed true creativity and imagination in film. Working WITHIN strict limitations actually bolsters more creative, ingenious solutions. The computer animation in Tim Burton's film just looked eerie, and not in a good way.

  • por favor gente postem este filme legendado em portugues amo esse filme

  • I'm reliably informed that the corridors and staircases used for the scene circa 5:05 were filmed inside the disused Royal Victoria Miltary Hospital at Netley. That building was demolished soon afterwards, unfortunately...

  • Glorious. The best adaptation of Lewis Carrol's unadaptable story ever. Dark, dreadful, not a simple fairy story at all.

  • Wow i've never seen this one b4! Thanks 4 sharing, now i have a movie to watch tonight :D

I'm so glad you followed up your first comment with this one . . . : )

This film is a good example of the art of black and white cinematography. The greats could do much more with shadows and light than anyone ever can with color stock. The emotions these techniques can generate are wholly appropriate to Lewis Carroll's sensibilities. This might be the greatest version of Alice.

  • @EducationMattersYes

agree that its the best version. Im still on the look out for the soundtrack its awesome too. Cant seem to find it though. I wonder if Ravi Shankar ever came out with these on any of his albums?

  • i wish it was in color

  • @Deqt314 - ugh.
