best book best Movie ever..in the book its from Chiefs pov and the way he talks about the fog rolling in and consuming him..he is going into a psycotic episode and that was the best description I have ever read..The author actually spent time in a mental ward..being paid to take LSD and let dr. run test on him and observe him..then after the testing he got a job @ the same hospital so this is a fair portrail of what mental homes were like hell sadly not much has really changed.

I watched this film today, and I must say that it is VERY good! But, it is incredibly Sad, depressing and unsettling :(

Milos Forman (Ahoj Cechy!) is an incredible director! All of the actors and actresses are amazing at acting and play their characters well. I'd say that Jack is supposed to represent Hope, but the Nurse is a dictator in control. Unfortunately justice does not prevail.

Very very sad :( but still a timeless and amazing classic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!­!!!!

Jack Nicholson is such a pioneering LEGEND. It's a great idea for a movie to place a 'sane' guy inside a psychiatric hospital alongside the so-called 'crazies' and then oberve the dichotomy unfold. I mean, one person's 'crazy' is another person's 'sensical'- it depends on whom you're with and the kind of society you live in. Jack Nicholson always *shines* (pardon the pun -- ha, 'The Shining' and all) in any role he plays. He makes a movie 10 times more watchable just by being *present*. :-)
