  • I think it is so awesome that you were on the new! I have a question for you, should I buy a 36 inch unicycle for distance? Also if you want to check out my unicycle videos search MyRatLover

  • fantastic. I'm the guy in THE OLD MAN AND THE UNICYCLE, and you are an inspiration to me (incidentally, I'm 57, and first learned this last year. )Long live us geezers!!!

    Lenny

  • @LennyJ1952 Thanks Lenny, and congrats on your great riding!

  • great story. u r nothing but a BIG kid ! !

stoked 2 see others in our age group living the uninhibited dream. i'm 47 (in may) race MX & am very hper too w/ hi metabloism. always wanted to ride one of these. quite an insperation. proof that fountain of youth IS hyper-activity ! ! Don't ever stop ! !

  • Thanks, yeah I'm not only hyper, I have ADHD, but I see it as a blessing not a curse. I can hyper focus on things I love, like extreme MUni! Good to hear from other middle-aged kids! I hope you decide to get into Unicycling...it's a blast and a fantastic way to get and stay in top shape! Cheers!

  • this whole story is about his age lmao

  • haha yeah I know! I was thinking, "let's talk about the sport!" But actually, I couldn't hear what they were saying in the studio, since I wasn't there, lol.

  • Your amazing! I wish my Dad rode a unicycle! What kind of unicycle is the 36 inch wheeled one that u do 50 mile rides on? I'm 15 and I have a small torker unicycle that I ride on the road and I want something that will go faster!

  • Haha thanks Adam! My 36er is an older UDC model, but with an upgraded nightrider tire, 114mm cranks, Kris Holm fusion saddle and a coker touring bar. Just did a 40 miler yesterday!

  • I wish I could drop 4 inches riding, haha, good work Terry!

  • Haha, you mean drop 4" off something to the ground? Lol, well, I think it's mostly because I ride almost every day and really long rides on weekends, so you are bound to lose a lot of extra "baggage". Plus I'm just naturally hyper so i have a fast metabolism. :)

  • Awesome!!! Your an inspiration man. I hope to meet you one day and ride.

  • Thanks!

  • fantastic Terry! congrats on the great coverage and great job. Top Stuff mate!

  • Thanks so much! :)

  • I'm jelous of you spending all that time with the lovely Ally! :P

  • haha. :)

  • Hey Terry, awesome vid, you made my night. Get better and back on your routine soon!

  • Thanks! Yeah I'm slowly recovering but it seems like forever since I'm used to riding pretty much every day. Can't wait to get back out there again!

  • Great Job Terry, I love unicycling, need to start doing some muni!

  • Me too! This is longest I've gone without doing my regular ride routine. I'm still sick and trying to et better so I just need to rest and take it easy. But it's hard to just sit around and do nothing! frustrating but I need to or I won't get better. :(

  • You're the best, Terry.

  • Thanks I'm just happy to help promote the aweomeness of uni!

  • nice job terry

  • Thanks Tyler! We gotta ride again soon! Joe also wants to come to my house sometime to ride my trials course so maybe we could get a small group to come here to ride that for a while then go the the beach for a coker ride than maybe that Palos verdes Muni! A whole day on trials/Muni/coker!

  • aww....I want to hear about the husband in England who is in pretty big trouble....lol

THOROUGHLY ENJOYED!! Great job representing the sport, Terry!! I only wish I could interview you for my senior thesis video--I'm making a doc. film about extreme unicycling for my 4 year degree....

  • Wow that sounds like a great project! I would be happy to contribute in some way. I have a new compilation video and this news feature on vimeo that you can download if that would help.

  • my favorite thing about unicycleing is how people react its unbeavable how hard people think it is.... its not tho lol

  • ya, its kinda funny like that.

  • Depends. Just basic riding is fairly easy to learn and doesn't take too long. But going from that to highly technical mountain terrain, mastering seven foot drops and jumping 8 stair sets is something entirely different, and *not* easy! Haha, at least not for a 53 year old, lol.

  • Great! Being I live at the Grand Canyon I see tons of new stations and I've always hoped that I would get my minute of fame.

  • You will. Just keep sending your video links to different stations and tell them about you and basically sell the fact that extreme uni is awesome and a growing sport. In time somebody will notice. It worked for me.

  • Nice, I havent been able to unicycle for about 3 months now beacause i broke my elbow in mexico on a mechanical bull and needed surgery.

Cant wait to hop back on one tho!

And congrats on being on the news!

  • Ouch. Yeah I messed up my elbow unicycling a while back and I was out of riding for too long. Sucked.

  • Yeah,not a good feeling.

Im saving up for a Coker

  • Cool yeah you'll love it!

  • did you get her phone # lol

  • Haha I wish. :(

  • Awesome! This was amazing!

    Are you wearing a cup?

    -Absolutely not!

I liked that because everyone thinks it hurts there, but it (usually) does not!

  • Yeah that was one misconception I really wanted to explain. You're right, so many non-uni riders think that it hurts us there and it doesn't if you know what you're doing.

  • You absolutely blew them away Terry!!!! Shut down any attempt of them making a bit of sport of you. The Anchors applauded you... wow. That never happens. Allie asked some good ?'s ... pedals, price, style etc. And she laid on the pavement for you to gap her. Kudos to her and you.

    Great plug for UDC.

You did us and the sport very proud today.

Now, go take a nap ya' GEEZER ...

  • Thanks Sean!

  • Yeeees man! An absolutely excelent work!

Let me say that it's always a pleasure to see your videos, but this time you have gone higher! People know that having fun is essential for living? I think it's a good example, nice to know that we can learn in anytime.

    Keep on!

  • Thanks so much!

  • wow your really getting popular!!!

  • haha nah, I think unicycling is! I'm just trying to do my part to promote the sport. :)

  • Well, they showed some clips of my MUni stuff, but there wasn't too much at that location for me to do, so I did the stair set and that drop which was a little over 4 feet to flat concrete. For the average non-rider viewer it was still probably pretty cool. :)

  • Sweet! I wish they could have seen some of your better stuff!

  • Wonderful. Great job!!

  • Thanks so much!

  • i with i could :)

  • You can!

  • i meant get on the tv lol

  • Thanks! It was fun to do it, especially live!

  • great job Terry!!!!!
