@casperlad1 not sure if serious, but backstage the hardys and edge and christian were all best friends. they traveled together and worked together. when matt and lita started having problems in their relationship, edge was traveling with lita (as was usual) and used the opportunity to TRY to sleep with lita but matt found out about it first. That's why they were able to work the feud at all. Matt said they only kissed & Lita rejected him. Edge fell in love w/her and tried to take her from Matt.

Edge was the aggressor, Lita did NOT pursue him. Edge had been married 2 months and was trying to get Lita to leave Matt and have sex with him/be his mistress. She developed feelings for him but didn't pursue a relationship, but once Matt found out shit hit the fan and the rest is history.
