2012 is a guilty pleasure of mine, yes it was goofy, and silly. But I really liked it anyway, and its exactly the kind of movie I should hate, but I dont know if it was John Cusack or the corney dialouge, I really enjoyed this film

Hey if you're right about what you said at the end of review part one, that the planet will be consumed by an overflowing of water (from where? who cares! cgi, folks!) then that means 2012 would be a ready double-feature partner to precede "Waterworld". Waterworld is a great film, but most people (claim to) hate it. On the other hand, 2012 is a crappy film that apparently most people (are doomed by sensationalism to) enjoy. They make natural complements.

2012 doesnt even compare to Titanic. Titanic was one of the best drama movies in history. It takes all your emotions outside. The soundtrack in Titanic is just awesome. Its a masterpiece. 2012 is just some shit action movie with useless special effects. The main character has some super natural powers or what? He always is gonna make something impossible just in time. Its more like transformers 2.

This film is a good comedy because of the unintentional hilarity that they tried to paint as seriousness. I think the actors tried to make an ok acting performance, but it was never made to be an acting/plot movie. It is, I agree, a disaster/CGI porn.

This review was GREAT!!!!! It was better than 2012!!!!! I waited a year to see this flick & left after 40 minutes of this dribble! It was $hit.....then I though about leaving and went back later to at lest see the space ships AND left sooner the 2nd time......I want my brain cells back GOD D^e@# IT!

BUT at least I knew everybody who liked this kind of pablum was at the movie and was off the streets SO I was happy in that, for a short time at least......

The problem is that people don't care about story. I heard that the new Star Trek movie (2009) was going 2 b different. But then it was changed cuz they were afraid it would confuse people. It had the birth of Spock, & some sub-plot of the Romulan commander being beaten or something.

So film makers play it safe. They keep the dialogue as simple as possible & put a lot of CGI 2 make it worth the $. A person does not want 2 leave the theater saying what a waste of money!

I won't bother seeing this movie. The CGI is great, I'll give it that. But when I was watching the five minute clip I was more amazed by how many times the family survived all of that distruction.
