I got this from amazon.uk, it's really cheap now. I'm waiting for it, I hope I get one just like this one. It looks really nice, can't wait to seat down and watch it! I'll post a comment when it arrives.
i will want to cuss you out or but don't know if i should be mad at you or amazon. i got one from amazon after seeing this video & i got a different blu ray case. it was two times bigger & it was following apart i better get my money back!!!!
@Blucollection Just ordered it and recieved it today...Words cant express how HORRIBLE the new case is...Damn thing is two times the size and is impossible to get closed, and the disc holders in the middle keep getting caught...but since I paid about 20 bucks canadian for it Im still keeping it...Outside Cardboard is bigger as well to hold the box, otherwise exactly the same!
I have the director's cut of 1-3 on dvd so i'm gonna wait until they release it on blu ray, even though this blu ray collection has those extra scenes in the deleted menu.
Blu would you recommend actually getting this set. Because I heard some chatter about how Warner Bros. officially taking Lethal Weapon 1 and 2 off the shelves because of their poor transfers. They also did that with the consideration that next year will mark the 25th anniversary of Lethal Weapon. Would you recommend I wait for these so called special editions or get this collection with the thought they WB will not improve upon this collection?
@akosmo17 sorry for taking so long to reply.. i must have missed your question.. ya know, the price is not so expensive, and you can find at amazon. I think this collection is great and worth it. Its like Superman, people were waiting for the remastered box edition, and it turned out not so great.. so why wait for something that might not even be what you expect.. i think this edition is pretty good
What wide screen ratio is Lethal Weapon? I'm asking because WB messed-up Batman and released it on video, laser, DVD and for TV in the 1:85 wide screen that is the same size screen as a wide screen TV. It was released in the 2:35 ratio at the cinemas. I never saw Lethal Weapon at the cinema and it's in the 1:85 on video, laser, DVD and for TV and the other Lethal Weapon movies were released in the 2:35. I'm wondering if WB messed up Lethal Weapon the same as they did with Batman.
@Blucollection Thanks for letting me know. Just one more question. Does the bonus materials have Mel Gibson video diary to Lethal Weapon 2 and 3? I don't know if he did a video diary on Lethal Weapon and Lethal Weapon 4 but he did to 2 and 3. They are quite funny because Mel Gibson clowned about a lot on the sets in the making of these movies as I'm sure he did on the sets in his other movies. I have these video diaries on VHS somewhere and it would be nice to get them on DVD as well.
@BlaineBingham no, there's no video diaries. There are 4 great featurettes in fantastic 1080i with Mel, Danny and Richard Donner discussing all 4 movies!
@Blucollection That's OK. Thanks anyway. I'm still going to buy the box set. At the moment I still can't afford an HDTV because they are so expensive so I'll have to buy this box set at a later date.
@jennaE36 No the first 3 films are the theatrical versions not the directors cuts. However all of the scenes that were in the directors cuts are available to watch in the special features section of the blu ray menus.
Thanks for letting me know. I think I can make do with the standard DVDs for the series at this time until they do release the director's cuts on Blu-Ray.
@BlaineBingham it would be great if after you finish the unboxing you show a 30 second clip of the bluray playing so we can get a feel for the picture quality.
great vid mate - i like your videos, always check them before making a purchase (like in this case)
keep up the good work!
