I have driven the SLR and what a beast. SLS, my next target for Fast Driving, not your lame stop light traffic Toyota Camry. So If you can't drive a fast car, don't try to own one or get in one, because you will just look stupid doing 35mph on the road and not tearing the car a new set of tires.

The reason the SLS and the SLR perform about the same yet the SLS is less than half price is mostly simply due to the TRANSMISSION being behind the driver creating a 53:47 weight distribution unlike the SLR's 51:49. So, it makes braking, accelerating, and steering easier relieving MB from spending a lot of time on the aerodynamics and on forced induction. That's why the SLR looks so 'busy' and shorter.

Ya, you should be glad about the fact that BMW and Mercedes make their X5, M class in the U.S. And Merc is planning to make C class in the U.S. as well. In fact, BMW even makes 7 series in like Egypt.

Secondly, why should Euro car makers 'cheapen' themselves to lower American standards. When Mercedes started making the M-class in the US their customer ratings fell from top place to almost bottom!

Now the European cars have more popularity, but well? It's already a known fact that ZR1 and Viper ACR can beat most of overpriced Euro supercars.

Just a couple of things mate. Firstly American cars do not compare to Europeans in any way shape or form. It's a good thing there aren't any roundabouts in the US otherwise everyone would be up a tree. In case you didn't get that Americans can't make cars the go round corners.

First, the American cars used to dominate the car world in the old days. From about 30's to 60's, the European cars were nothing but junk. When Germany got separated into two after WWII, some parts of BMW went to the USSR, and basically at that time BMW was falling apart. Merc? I forgot. But basically, at that time, the U.S. dominated. Now the European cars have more popularity, but well? It's already a known fact that ZR1 and Viper ACR can beat most of overpriced Euro supercars.

The German cars are not even reliable(Even their tanks are unreliable), and in fact, Lexus team did a little research before they make the brand Lexus, and what they found out was that the German cars are "Unreliable". Germans always overengineer things.

German cars only became unreliable when then outsourced and started looking to profits then they realised it's hurting the reputation.
