@11ari11 unlike the asphalt, the grass isn't smooth and even so its less grip if you get one tire on the grass (Although this guy didn't loss grip because his tyre was already lifted off the ground, but thats a different story in itself). Also since these cars are so low off the ground that if you whole car gets on the grass, the unevenness of the grass will damage the underside of the car. But hey sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do to make a pass :P

I don't know if you've ever been to thunderhill but if you have then you know that at that part of the track are 4 high speed corners (2 full throttle on a bike). If you slow down during the first corner you lose a significant amount of time on all the corners. It was a calculated risk.
