  • oh my GOsh!! he is so good its rediculous! so smooth an flawless i'm actually quite jelous. this is amazing.

  • When people say flow they're talking about this guy.

  • what is the trick at 2 min? its amazing starts out really slow then go faster... I need to know that

  • Yeah,wow... damn

  • thats the definition of poi flow

  • @MrSoggySocks It looks like a buzzsaw with take outs to me. The way he takes the circles in smaller and then larger are called take outs. They are pretty advanced, but this guy makes it look really easy.

  • I dig your style bruh.

  • Мэл, не подскажешь, какие у тебя фитили на поях в этом видео? Изисы?

  • @MrSoggySocks Some kind of Isolated Weave

  • wow! amazing!

  • can u tell me the name of the song?

  • @MrSoggySocks Most people call those iso-bursts. You do it by alternating between split-time same direction isolations "bursting" both outward to make petals. The hard part is coming back in from the petals into the isolation.

  • @MrSoggySocks at 1:18 he's doing iso-bursts. After that he does the 2-beat windmill, but instead of extensions in front he does in-spin petals in the back

  • wow, amazing! I'm speechless *-*

  • @MrSoggySocks they are variations on whats known as a beatswitch or lockout (to thomas j anyway). in this case, they are a sequence of vertical and horizontal linear extensions, poi split-same. i've actually been meaning to make a video explaining some linear extension-related theory :)

  • Do you know what the trick is called between 1:57 and 2:07 ish?? This video has been my inspiration!

  • @MyFlyPoi it doesn't really have a name. It's a lockout in front and then two anti-spin petals in back. He does it really fast.

  • @quagitty Thanks so much.

  • @MrSoggySocks hm, they look like flowers played in a wall plane actually

  • @MrSoggySocks

I believe he's just doing isolations there. You can see Drex doing a similar move at the beginning of one of his tech blogs called "Odds and Ends"

  • @MrSoggySocks Don't know if you ever got your answer, but that is a variation of wall plane flowers...

  • Really love your style! Keep up the great spinning :) .

  • @MrSoggySocks

    They are called linear isolations.

  • this is a whole other level of awesomeness 4realz!

  • your so gracefull i love ittt

  • @MrSoggySocks

  • Again, I will totally have your babies.

  • Gorgeous transitions and rhythm. I also love how you look like you're enjoying yourself, instead of just performing. :)

  • beautiful flow :)

  • that orbital was nasty, im just starting out and got the basics down.. this video and your others inspire me.. keep on doin what your doin man

  • I admire your control it's so on-point

  • I'm seeing a lot of Thomas Nevisoul's influence here :)

  • Good job! You are so natural at compound movement. What kind of fuel are you using?

  • love the style man!!

  • u fucking rock man !!!!!!=) nice

  • So smooth... O.O

  • prodigy.

  • Impressive, lord of the flame

  • you are absolutely stunning and are in total control of your poi at all times! love :))

  • Holy cow how do you do five beat corkscrews so slow? I need momentum in my left poi for it to go through smoothly. Also, your flowers are insane. I still can't do em right with both hands at the same time.

  • Mel you're Russian? Gah! NOW I MUST TRAIN FOR THE MOTHERLAND!

  • so what kinda poi u using here?

  • Best Poi-Performance i´ve ever seen. Simply awesome. I don´t get the style of this guy. Amazing!

  • @mkcloe1

Nick Woolsey also called this... Superduper-uperloops.

  • Yikes! Uber beautiful... Well done!!!

  • This is definitely one of my more favorite poi performances i've seen. Thanks for posting.

  • sexy spinning ;-)

  • I just love watching people who fire /dance/... emphasis on the dance!

Seems I spent too long going pattern-pattern-pattern though, and I always thwack myself when I try to dance while spinning. Oh well, an excuse to spin more is always welcome!

  • @teartaye thats what I feel like I do as well, I think it might be because I'm a beginner, but I really do try and dance while I'm spinning, the song has to be good too haha

  • That was incredible.

You make the world a better place =P

  • Thanks for inspiration :)

  • You are cosmic.

  • pure amazing ! " enough said " !

  • han mo karrrrrrr kaj celen me karesa

  • thank you for the inspiration sir. you spin my face off lol pleasure watching.

  • So smooth moves :) really nice!

    Keep It

  • Once again, I love the video. At 1:45, what are you using as chain or string that allows you to do this???

  • @boomintrucker

You need swivels fitted on normal chain or ball chain. This allows the poi to spin freely so that they don't get twisted up when you're doing orbitals.

  • @boomintrucker I got simple chain, and it's impossible to do this trick with that. Possibly this is a ballchain, cas a wire wouldn't last long I suppose.

  • how long have you been spinning? Very well done and inspirational..! cant wait to see more

  • could anyone give me the name of the song

more importantly that was fuckin tight

  • Sorry, I don't know...

  • awesome...

  • Beautiful hybrids! Really inspiring!

  • yes extremely awesome, the other poi vid is even better. for some other decent fire vids look up bryce watts ;)

  • i'm blown away mate.... well done!

  • love it...you are genius

  • your like some sort of god

  • awesome! good stuff. keep makin videos.

  • Good lord, I've been on youtube for months trying to find someone this good at spinning poi that I don't already know (yuta, ronan, kisiel, etc)

    Sooo excellent.

  • You should get paid for that. A lot.

  • can see the love for movement =)

  • i mean damn... i cant even say anything to describe how smooth and skilled you are.

  • i love it,,,,

  • Nice. You look good when you aren't thinking about the way you spinning and the audience. Would be very nice to see your video somewhere in a quiet place: mountains, ocean.. without any people or spectators. Only you and poi. That , i think, will be a great difference, i'm sure...
