I think the whole point of this song and Gold for that matter was to trigger the emotions of depression, sadness and darkness...i think Jason did a great job at evoking those emotions with layered, out-of-tune, and whispery vocals!! THIS BAND RULES!!!
scary (+) cool. i'm not a huge starflyer 59 fan but you know what housewife reminds me of? smashing pumpkins ("today") meets muse ("knights of cydonia"). :)

I feel like I'm the protagonist in a cheap, post-apocalyptic zombie infestation flick at the movies. Half of my friends worship this band like they're Jesus's modern age disciples. What the hell is so magically alluring about this band? Every song feels about 2-3 times as long as it is because the progession is UNBELIEVABLY slow, brooding, and depressing. I listen to soundtracks, classical, and operatic sonatas that are 10X more entertaining, crisp, and enchanting than this.
Wait, you're confusing being the protagonist in a zombie flick with being the hero in a compelling homo-erotic thriller. I have never met anyone who wasnt blown away after listening to this band. You must be stuck on the Top 40 hits station. You know what, don't even try to listen to them, just keep your fucken ipod set on Shania Twain.
wow the early 1990's. A time when the indie music coming out of christian label, Tooth & Nail, was INCREDIBLE!!! so different from anything else in America. I don't believe they knew what they had in their hands (the label).
Out of curiosity, could you name me some of the bands. I thought Luxury, Joy Electric, Havalina, Roadside Monument and some of the hardcore punk bands were great but for the most part T&N had a lot of irritating pop punk bands on it's roster.
Yea, Luxury was cool. But you forgot Upside Down Room, Morella's Forest, Jupiter James, Fold Zandura, Bon Voyage, Driver Eight, and Joe Christmas!!!!!
@4darin5: OH THOSE WERE THE DAYS! As they say of course. The good OLD days of Tooth and Nail. I was a part of the scene here in So Cal seeing all the bands from 1994 to about 1998. Plank Eye, Starflyer, etc. I wish someone would make a documentary about those "alternative rock" days in Christian music, the '90s.
@4darin5: Where do you live and when do we start?! I'll give ya a LOL, but if I had someone to do it with and start contacting bands I'd do it in a heartbeat!
Best band ever!!

I like the video, but I don't really get it or the ending

The video is kind of pointless but far from as bad as some videos. The ending is pretty funny I think.

Anyone who honestly writes a comment just to say they dont like a band is f-cking retarded.
Guess what? You are dumb. Even if you are succesful, YOU ARE DUMB!!!!
If you dont like it, shut the f-ck up and deal with it.
To each their own.
What sounds good to one person may not sound good to another.
Who f-cking cares that you think this is crap.
I don't even really like this band.
Your comment was just so f-cking stupid I had to comment.
I will never waste my time responding to a comment again.
