@ xxxlove: actually your wrong the ZR1 beats the porsche pretty badly around any track. I know from experience bec my dad owns a zr1 that the vete iss faster in a straight line and around the track if your familiar with how to obtain speed through corners without understeer with the vette

@steelgolfer811 oh yay, it took a decade but now corvette can make a 635hp car faster than a 605 hp car. And yes, the carrera is from 200. Rest assured though, porsche is makin a new gt, it will be far faster, and unlike the vette drivable on the road!

@Snortemup hey, its a porsche, if you've been around one (I have) its a completely different animal. Good engineering, beautiful design, its just so much nicer. It might be 2 or 300k more, but its 3 or 400k more car. Especially considering that you can actually drive it on the road AND track, both with the top down (a large feat if you understand architecture at all), the vette sucks royally on the road.

@Imprezaman555 i've been in an older 911 turbo and a C4 Corvette they were both ok but not terribly nice. The new ones I know the Porsche has a better interior but nothing else is better performance wise. As far as ride quality i haven't been in either one so i don't know but from what i've seen on different reviews i haven't heard any complaints.

@cripin2021 i know exactly what you mean. if it were up to me, id drive a vette everyday. 31 mpg, 425 hp, and a comfortable ride sounds good to me.

@xxxxxxxlove no, stock cgt and zr1 raced on a standing mile race, cgt did 187 driver was tanner foust and the zt1 was driven by unknown. Plus if you look at the stats, actually both cars are very close but I believe the zr1 is a bit quicker

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to read the numbers and do the math. Porsche has a very slightly higher HP/weight ratio, but the Corvette has a much higher torque/weight ratio. We did not see the start of this race either -- who knows if they left the line together or not??

Given an even start and good surface, it should be a pretty close race.

I saw most of the of the reces for this ZR1 in kuwait against the 997 gt2 and the Carrera GT and the ZR1 won most of the races, but as we can see the ZR1 won by the same distance with the gt2 & CGT, so are you telling me that the CGT & 997 GT2 has the same performance and same speed ... this is impossible ... I want you to know the Carrera GT is faster and better than the 997 gt2, F430 scuderia, LP640, SLR and LP560 .. so the ZR1 must be modded and tuned to win like this.

@xxxxxxxlove my uncle's son (cousin) bought a zr1 last year and my brother rented a cgt few months ago, my brother bid the zr1 in 0-60 by with just a tense of a sec but any rolling or even after 60 mph the zr1 was just pulling ahead. o and both my cus and my brother are very very good drivers. i know it's hard to belive but trust me the zr1 is faster.
