  • how much do you spend of your gear.. i think you can already start a studio man

  • lol pretty ironic u have went from 3 rack toms, to 2, to 1 lol

  • @BrylliumDsgns Not really ironic haha

  • i don't undestand, how can you use headphones as a mic?

  • its amazing seeing how much youve improved from 3 years back. YOUR SHIT HOT

  • what type of headphones and wear did you place it

  • Love the sound. What headphone were you using?

(If you've written it somewhere and I'm being a total div I apologise)

  • Sorry, i don't like the sound. But on the other side, pretty good quality for a pair of headphones.

  • sounds fucking great mate.your toms sound awsome

  • Wait what? Headphones as microphones? How? Haha

  • i do this all the time

    its really good

    the drums sound much better

  • @TheMASDrummer i AGREE

  • Awesome drumming! What kit have you used and how much was it? :D

  • If it's old and you don't really like your video, then you should make a new one!

  • you should work with a Click

  • "Uploaded 3 years ago"...

  • @walawala78 and??

  • @SySopDieG0 I obviously wasnt as good back then as I am now.. and now I work with a click everyday.

  • kiler playin

  • With what did u sync the video and the audio with???

  • @Rand0mHer0G Any video editing software

  • Pretty shitty audio quality. Even if reversing polarity, is possible, it is not right. Die in a fire.

  • @dotBran Shove that up your arse mate. It's only a pair of headphones..

    "uploaded 2 years ago".. TWAT.

  • @dotBran

    die of testicular cancer.....cunt

  • @Rokdog33 An hero.

  • @dotBran your comment is genius, no one ever just says things like that, they always have to build it up. go drown in a sewage plant

  • @dotBran what a chode

  • audio is off. it's noticable. probably about 50 msec or so. I've done christmas lights synced to music, so im incredibly picky and attentive to audio/visual sync. check out my vids bro

  • @JonathonReinhart Yea i uploaded this video over 2 years ago.. ive completely changed my editing software.. I was pretty new to it back then.

  • Loosin up a bit haha

  • @and1drawer2k3 "uploaded 2 years ago"

  • @walawala78 not bad for you playing lol I am guessing you loosened up quite a bit since then :) good stuff though.

  • Why are the headphones not in this video???

  • @2009felony2009 They are.. on is hooked on the toms and one is in the bass drum

  • someone needs to start bangin the shit out of their drums. seem like too much simple stuff for a drum set with all that. not saying that your not good or nothin, you are

  • why have you taken off that second tom since this was made?

  • Yes, it works so well. I dont need Zoom Q3 then. Headphone as a mic is good enough. :)

  • where did you put your headphones

  • @SuicideXiXsilence watch the video response..

  • dude you play like a robot.

    you gotta FEEEEL it

    otherwise nice job

  • @dragonman0000001 HEY, look at the upload date......

  • well it helps !

  • You just need a Microphone :]

    Otherwise you're on track ;]

  • @beatsiz I have a set of mics and a mixer now if thats what you mean :) This video is over 2 years old..

  • Good for headphones

  • Hey I found this method one month before and I used my old headphones, and they was broken. Today I bought a new pairs of headphones and I try it, but the sound isn't good enough as yours, it was mono channel out. What do you think about my problem ? p.s. I using a Audacity

    Greetings,

    nice drumming btw!

  • @TheCore1994 I dont really know what your problem could be mate.. Try adjusting the sensitivity of the headphones on control panel.. try maybe getting rid of the microphone boost or something.. Less gain means less noise.. Im not sure what else to suggest.

    Seb

  • it sounds very good, but i can´t see were the headphones are placed???

please, sorry if my English is wrong.

  • @carlosmolina1976 watch the video response :)

  • I wonder how a webcam mic might work

  • @Munoz783 i tried it, it doesnt work well at all haha

  • hey man really nice drumming ., what skins do you use on your toms?

  • thanks.. remo pinstripes

  • Was audacitiy used for this?

  • i think it was in this video but i use Cubase AI4 now

  • how does the headphones work

  • @DMAshorts watch the video response of this video for an explanation :)

  • Is that a Pearl Export you're playing on?

Nice video man. Keep uploading that shit

  • yea its a pearl export EX805

    thanks alot :)

  • @tenlittltoes 14 inch mate

  • how do you a drummer is at your door? the knocking speeds up. - 0:48-0:58

  • @666drummer4 sorry what??

  • lol, try keeping the same pace. but still good job :)

  • this video wasnt demonstrating my ability, it was just one take of random drumming. Thanks though :)

  • i might be getting drum headphones do u just plug them into your ipod or mp3 or do u have to have a amp or something

  • if you want to record with headphones.. watch my video explaining it

  • dude thanks man! ive been wanting to record a cover but couldnt stand the sound quality for ages! i tried this and it works well enough for me to do it!

    THANKYOU

  • No problem :) im glad it helped

  • It sounds a bit tinny. Better than I would have thought though.

  • i agree mate

  • it's without mics?!?!

  • nope.. just recorded with headphones:) look at my explanation video on my channel of how to do it.

  • Nice man, how did you use the headphones as mics? We are curious.

    -LF

  • thanks:) watch the video response and find out!

  • as i said better sound with head phones haha that beat from .23 seconds is sick man

    check my vids

  • its sounds pretty good, keep it up mate!

  • Ur welcome

  • pretty good sound.. try two headset!!

  • haha i might do that!

  • yeah try one head set on right and the other one on the left!!

  • that would be cool.. ive got a mixer and mics now though so there wouldnt be much point..:/

  • YOU ROCK!

  • i dont have movie maker on my computer do you have any idea how i could get it

  • every PC comes with windows movie maker:S you must have it somewhere.. or do you have a mac?

  • no i have a pc i actually downloaded audicity today and i tried and the drums sounded bad and there was a buzzing noise

  • aah right i see:/ im not sure what to suggest mate sorry..

  • when you say buzzing, that could mean the audio has clipped severely. Do you mean, it recorded the drums, but the sound was loud/distorted/unpleasant?? If you try turning the input gain in audacity down, it might help..its like a volume control- i think it says something like microphone input? not sure though. the green level indicator should not be showing red when you play - red is bad ! ahah try it out though see if its better

  • what drum pedals do you use?

  • in this video i was using big dogs but ive got a DW4000 pedal now

  • Alrite, i stll dont get it! So if i just plug in some headphones into my pc/laptop, how is it going to pick up the sound? Do i have to change anything in control panel, if so what??

  • youl have to change the mic input settings high definition something or other.. headphones work both ways, they can play and record sound, you can also play music out of a microphone.

  • Hey, i tryed, and in control panel nothing else comes up for me to change! Can you provide a full step by step comment, or vid asap plz! Anyone else no how to do it?

  • the explanation video is up now

  • great kick/cymbal effects

like when you hit them together

    sounded nice

  • so did u just plug the headphones straight in?

coz i tried recording by plugging my headphones into my computers mic socket and used windows recorder just to test it but it didnt get anythin

  • Try putting those headphones into a med sized plastic trash can. Serious compression!

  • awesome:) i will have to try that sometime.

  • how do you get the adio from the mics to switch with the adio on the camera and wat did you use to record the sound

  • i used windows movie maker to mute the audio of the camera and replace it with the audio from the headphones.

  • So what did you edit the sound with? Audacity?

  • i recorded with audacity yea.. but no editing.. i use cubase now anyway

  • LOL. I have been using the sound recorder to record it. And I've had cubase on my comp for a while now. I didn't even know why I didn't think of it. Thanks though man, you saved me 100$ =) Your awesome at drums btw.

  • haha thanks man.. glad i could help:)

  • where did u put the headphones

  • one in the bass drum and one hooked over the second tom.. they picked up pretty much everything

  • Hey. I just tried this on my laptop since my comp is in another room where the drums are. And man. I spent 300$ on a mixer, mics, and cables. And I was pissed when I saw this vid. I love you, lol.

  • aah right thats a shame man.. i dont use this method anymore as my mixer produces a much better sound. but it is 10x cheaper haha

  • Yeah well, I felt like the 300$ was a waste since all I had was a guitar amp which sucked. I tried your method and it works perfect. I bought another pair of headphones and a splitter so I can record 2 headphones at once.

  • aaah right yea good idea.. so its like youre recording with 4 mics instead of 2. good thinking.

  • um u shud post a video on how to do this cuz im dumb

  • you literally just plug the headphones into the microphone input on your computer and off you go.. simple as.

  • thanks mate (:

how do you put music to the video?

  • i just used windows movie maker man

  • where about did you put the headphones to record the drums?

  • one in the bass drum and one hooked over the 2nd tom

  • i tried it but the toms sound really really like distorted and stuff

  • turn down the mic sensitivity

  • wait so what kind of ear phones did you use

is there like some kind of mic inside them or something

  • noope.. just ordinary headphones.. just try it:)

  • i figured im going to try it with my mos laptop ha but anyway i have a mapex with pinstripe heads, and im having trouble tuning them the way i would like them (similar to what u have em) do u think if i record the audio of my set now, u could listen to it and give me feedback? thanks.

  • aah right nice.. yea sure ill give it a listen..:)

  • meh i kinda figured that haha this sucks though i dont know what else to do

  • i re downloaded audacity to and i checked with the old comp mike and when i record with it on audacity its all fuzzy and i cant understand myself. Also im sure my laptop has a built in mike but audacity isnt picking it up for some odd reason

  • im not exactly a pro with the whole sound recording thing so im not sure what else to suggest really.. sorry!

  • mine says something about sigmatel audio its in control panel > sounds speech ETC > adjust sound scheme > voice recording right?

  • yea that should be it..

  • Comment removed

  • oh ya and im using audacity so is there a setting or something i forgot ?

  • youl have to go to control panel.. and audio/sound devices.. and change the mic input source:) that should work..

  • i need help .. ok so i did this a while ago once and it worked fine. but now i cant remember what i did.. i had a extremely cheap pair of bbuds that worked fine but the head of one came of so i stopped for awhile. when i found a new pair today i plgged them into the mic port not the earphone and they arnt picking up any noise any help please?>????

  • haha i had a similar problem, i had to wiggle the wire about it abit until it was alright haha!

  • i tried this, it worked great but one of my headphones was louder than the other one, so it was hard to get right.

  • where did you place the headphones?

  • one in the bass drum and one hooked over the 2nd tom

  • lol nice triplets

  • were did u plug the mics in?

  • straight into the mic input on my laptop..

  • i have the same headphones! xDD

  • i thought wuhan only made chinas and splashes. How much were those cymbals?

  • nope they do rock series and S series.. mine are the S series.. they were around £180 for the set

    14" hats

    16" crash

    20" ride

  • your kick is a little too loud... other than that

it sounds pretty good... toms sound great!

  • thanks alot:) though i dont use the headphones anymore since iv got a mixer now.

  • oh my dear god your set sounds AMAZING

what drum heads are you using?

  • haha nice comment:P thanks.. they are remo pinstripe heads:)

  • have you ever plugged them into an amp?

  • nah iv never tried that.. have you? is it any good?

  • what headphones did you use??

    i wanna know

  • just some sony megabass ear buds

  • how did u do that? i dont get the headphone thing. where did u put the headphones?

  • one goes in the bass drum and one is hooked onto the second tom.. and then they go into the mic input in my laptop:)

  • did u just like tape them onto the top of the drum or something? and are they just like ipod headphones? cause if they are how did they stretch from the bass drum to the tom?

  • nah i hooked the headphone onto the lug.. and i managed to separate them so they reached.. because the two wires are usually attached, and i just pulled them apart.

  • Nice! i tried and it worked! thanx man!

  • hey thanks:D nice one! no problem!

  • wat the fuck cmon dude wuhan cymbals are complete shit, how much did u pay for all of those cymbals, like $30?

  • alright calm down mate.. i payed £180 for the set and this was years ago! im thinking about investing in some sabian AAXs or zildjian avedis cymbals..

  • thats awsome dude! how did u even think of that?

  • thanks alot:) um.. i cant actually remember how i figured it out hha!

  • how do u add the audio of the drums with the video?

  • i used windows movie maker

  • the headphones mic stuff

  • how dose that work

  • read one of my replies to that FAQ:)

  • sweet

  • Wow, those headphones picked up the drumset so damn good. I'm going to try this tomorrow. Thanks for sharing this vid.

I don't mean to advertise, but check out my drumming video. What I did was muffle the mic on my video camera with a washcloth. You should try it too, man.

  • hey thanks for the comment man!

ooh right awesome ill definitely try that.. ill leave a comment on your video..

  • dam wuhans hav a real nice sound to em i thought they were a real cheap brand

  • yea they are pretty cheap but they have a decent sound:) i think they should be alot more expensive.. and they last for ages!

  • what cymbals do you have?

  • wuhan S series

  • thanks mate

  • you can do but i use "audacity"

  • I CAN hear them but....:P

Is audacity good? I thinking about downloade it.... :)

  • haha okay:P

and yea audacity is brilliant for a free program.. but it can be abit fustrating sometimes because its pretty much impossible to layer record big files.. coz it lags alot.. but that may be just my laptop..

but yea id give it 4 and a half out of 5

  • Thanks!

  • can`t hear the crashes! ;)
