yeah, that is the coolest. I cant count how many times I have watched it. For some reason youtube chopped off the very last second when you could hear the cheers. The must have been quite a few people show up to watch it.
typically around 400000 to 800000 volts. When you open a circuit all the power stored up in any coils or transformers down the line has to travel back causing this event. I'm sure those men were there just for the show.
