What is the difference between the "Green Movement" and its leaders with the current people in power? Greeners are shouting Death to whomever; Basiji's are doing the same. The culture is the same: Violence and Death to my opponent! There is not a fundamental difference between those in power in Iran and those who want to take power from them. very well put 011saber, but you fail to realize a sensitive point in here: the GM followers are protesting against a brutal system that does not care to even show its ugliest face (it's already been showing the ugly one for 3 decades btw!) and besides, the GM people are bare handed, started peaceful demonstrations (that is their undeniable right btw!) but the Basiji thugs and other ruffians started the violence, even getting physical with them in the cruelest manner possible. GM is still defenseless yet defending the police forces when they happen to be in the losing position just as well! how many similar movements do you know of where the oppressed defends the oppressor? GM is not violent by nature but if it has to *self-defend* itself and its obvious human rights in a violent manner one day, then so be it! i hate to say that of course but enough is enough when the time to respond the intruder back in its own style comes: self-defense, unless the gov repents!
