  • Yep, but i hear some people out there like the "crap" that's on now. lol Not me, give me Father Dowling Mysteries or HardCastle & McCormick N E DAY of the week, over the junk that's on now! Only thing on TV now is shooting shows, or shows about scary movie type stuff....your vampire shows, then that stupid Once upon a time show...Hollywood, Wake Up! We're tired of sh*tty shows like that already!! LOL

  • MOONLIGHTING!!! Correct

  • Ha, I remember when ABC used to use those streaking letters. It' doesn't seem so long ago. My goodness, has really been 25 years.

I'll never forget those days; carefree, watching gobs of television like this as a kid.

  • Trivia Time: In the mid 1980's, Watch show came on AFTER Who's The Boss and Growing Pains on ABC at 9PM EST?

  • @Fanik8

    Moonlighting?

  • @00:14

Love the way Ernie Anderson announces gleefully "Who's The Boss?!". As it transitions to "Growing Pains", it's a suspenseful "Then...".

  • Yes ABC had a lot of great stuff

  • The 80s.... ahhh my innocent days!

  • God, I know what you mean! I miss these years...back then, ABC gave you a reason to tune in. Now its'...bleagh!

  • Yea some stuff on TV nowadays is just so lame.

  • True dat, truuue dat! :)

  • OMG!!! I loved these T.V shows I watched them all the time.

  • yup t.v was better in the 80s/90s...now its all crap lol

  • You would love the song My Kapowski by Def Karaoke Jam

  • That was a really good hour of tv comedy. I hardly ever watch an hour worth of network television in one sitting now, except football.

  • yep same for me to,its not the same.

  • i miss these!

  • You know what I was doing Tuesday nights back in the mid-80s!

Yes, stroking my little junk to the tag-team duo of Joanna Kerns and Judith Light

  • Gross.

    agenttorpor,that was T.M.I.

  • @agenttorpor Sexy MILFs right there!!

  • Earnie Anderson's voice itself brings back so many memories. Whenever I watch that family guy where Peter talks about the TV announcer building you into a false sense of security I think of him and his going from happy to serious once he started talking about the 10 oclock shows.

  • I remember this!! Hart to Hart was a great show, too.

  • I was 9 when this was out. I had just moved to a new house and oh how I miss being 9 and happy.

  • you are not 9, but hope you are still happy

  • i love the 80's. i wish i grew up then!

  • i grew up in the 80 's it was great network tv was actually good

  • i think the 80's were great, the best. and guess what, no internet or cell phones. makes you think huh?

  • me either! i miss the 80's. Tuesday nights ruled...who's the boss, growing pains, and moonlighting.

  • i was born in 76 i remember moonlighting i loved that show .

  • WOW jesus i cant believe its been 22 years Since ABC AIRED good shows

  • Who was the announcer? I grew up with that voice in the 70s and 80s. He was ABC

  • That famous voice belonged to Ernie Anderson.

He was the booth announcer for ABC from the late '70s through the mid 1990s. Anderson was 73 years old when he died of cancer on February 6, 1997.

  • wow your right it really doesnt feel like 21 years

  • This promo is from Tuesday, January 21, 1986. The episodes for which the promo is based are:

Who's the Boss - Gotta Dance

Growing Pains - Slice of Life II

  • I turned 2 that day happy 2 to me from 1986

  • Does EVERY tv show have to have a "going to the ballet" episode?

    Even ANGEL had one, sheesh!

  • Interesting ... its been 21 years since these shows aired - doesn't seem that long to me !
