Yep, but i hear some people out there like the "crap" that's on now. lol Not me, give me Father Dowling Mysteries or HardCastle & McCormick N E DAY of the week, over the junk that's on now! Only thing on TV now is shooting shows, or shows about scary movie type stuff....your vampire shows, then that stupid Once upon a time show...Hollywood, Wake Up! We're tired of sh*tty shows like that already!! LOL
Earnie Anderson's voice itself brings back so many memories. Whenever I watch that family guy where Peter talks about the TV announcer building you into a false sense of security I think of him and his going from happy to serious once he started talking about the 10 oclock shows.

Ha, I remember when ABC used to use those streaking letters. It' doesn't seem so long ago. My goodness, has really been 25 years.
I'll never forget those days; carefree, watching gobs of television like this as a kid.

Love the way Ernie Anderson announces gleefully "Who's The Boss?!". As it transitions to "Growing Pains", it's a suspenseful "Then...".

Who was the announcer? I grew up with that voice in the 70s and 80s. He was ABC
johnham41 4 years ago
That famous voice belonged to Ernie Anderson.
He was the booth announcer for ABC from the late '70s through the mid 1990s. Anderson was 73 years old when he died of cancer on February 6, 1997.
