Fred may have used a marked deck but it proved he was smarter then the card sharks and Lamont...Lamont tends to forget his Father knows a lot more then he could ever hope to know.

Fred has LIVED LIFE. unlike Lamont how only thinks he is smart and knows better then his father. I love it when ever Fred takes Lamont down a couple pegs.

Well Fred probably wasn't a great player with the card sharks in his own youth, but he was smart enough to spot the cheating going on and smart enough to ensure his win with the "special" deck!

I actually don't like the really early early shows where Lamont shows outright disrespect for Fred. I really glad that they changed it pretty early in the series.

Astraldragon1 Fred may have LIVED LIFE but according to Lamont when Fred himself plays cards he always loses and loses his temper, that's why Lamont doesn't want Fred in the game. If Fred conducted himself better Lomont would let him play and Fred wouldn't have to set up these guys. But he did a good job anyway! His friend did show those guys! Too bad he decided to take the money and run.

dban626 Sometimes each episode is an alternate reality, for example on the Jeffersons George met Mr. Whittendales brother whose last name is Whittendale, in a later episode it was pointed out that It Whittendale was not the original last name of the HUSBAN, the husban changed his last name instead of the wife. He changed his name because it was HER that had the money!lol But then how could his brother have the last name Whittendale?

@bandet888 Yep, it's the same thing with the Jamie Foxx show. How could Jamie have the last name King when King is his aunt's married name. It would have made more since if Junior was his mothers brother and she gave him her maiden name. I quess they don't think we would notice these things...lol

@CoryChiarelli He may have used the guy's glasses but if you watch the episode again when Lamont asks Fred something like how'd he win all that Fred says he had his OWN deck. The one he promised Elizabeth he'd never use. Also for him to even have used the guy's "trick" glasses he would have had to WIN them FIRST. So that must mean up until that point Fred was winning on skill alone. Plus I doubt the guy with the glasses would have let Fred use them. He'd quit and leave before that,probably,lol!
