I found some history from wikipedia about a political movement called the American Party from the mid 19th century. This same political movement is also known as the American Republican Party or the Native American Party. It was mainly an Anglo-Saxon and Protestant group of people that feared the country was being overrun by German and Irish Catholic immigrants.
@schroff1968 The "Know-Nothing" Party from the 1840's was also a reactionary nativist movement like the American Party and the Tea Party. They had a brief heyday but eventually died out, as their platforms were all negative and backward and offered no real solutions.

However, the last of the conservatives left the Democratic party with the so-called "Dixiecrats" led by Stom Thurmond in 1948 to create their own party, the "states rights party." I found some history from wikipedia about a political movement called the American Party from the mid 19th century. This same political movement is also known as the American Republican Party or the Native American Party. It was mainly an Anglo-Saxon and Protestant group of people that feared the country was being overrun by German and Irish Catholic immigrants.

Given as my dad and half my friends are all *legal* immigrants, they have a personal stance about the immigration laws. They don't respect illegal immigrants from *any* other country. They always say, "you didn't work like us and our fathers to be here, go back and do it the right way." But some of the other signs, very stupid. The audio was pushing for proof, didn't truly support your proposal.

However, the last of the conservatives left the Democratic party with the so-called "Dixiecrats" led by Stom Thurmond in 1948 to create their own party, the "states rights party." Socialist propaganda! This has nothing to do with beck or racism. Illegal immigrants are not here legally and have no right to any American tax dollars.There are laws in this country for a reason, let's enforce them. Tea Party has zero to do with race, as TEA stands for, taxed enough already. Who can argue that our tax dollars are not being wasted as our country begans to fall to an all time low? Go to any other country in the world without documentation, and find yourself in prison. Wake up.

The right wing? right wing means to favor a conservative government. Exactly opposite of communist socialism. I think you confuse the republican party with independent conservatives(right wingers). I will be the first to say that the republican party is as equally corrupt as the far left dems. We need to break the party chains, and tackle the problems of a government and economy gone bad, instead of defending the war lords we call politicians. the contsitution needs to be upheld or we have lost

@reallaraw Interesting how 99% of you Teabaggers still end up voting Republican even though you claim to be "Independent". Only 2 Tea Party candidates stayed independant, while the rest went back to their roots.
