You can also easily have a solar or wind powered charge station at home. Also I see a future for gas station like charging stations that only get power from solar, wind and geothermal sources. @JogBird I see that on a lot of videos where they are promoting a vehicle that that the viewer has a dislike for. A car is defined as automobile and an automobile is defined as "a passenger vehicle designed for operation on ordinary roads and typically having four wheels" I think this car qualifies. What would be some cars you consider real?
@moaski Well for that to happen they would have to total the car so the battery pack is heavily damaged with a full charge. Then left to sit for three weeks to allow the battery coolant to seep into the cells of the battery. Thus causing a short and then theres your fire. But GM addressed that issue. You should realize that anytime you store large amounts of energy (electricity or fuel) when you damage the systems containing that energy, fires are possible.
@moaski They haven't even found a cure for the problem you had mentioned they are still trying to figure it out.. Thats what happens when you don't build it themselves. Half the parts for the Volt aren't even made by GM and if they did they are made over seas. GM can't build car on their own anymore.
What the hell is the point with the volt?? You have to plug it in and gas it up on premium! It's not a hybrid it's a bastard step child! Wouldn't want one even if GM were giving this POS away..
