WOW vs RS. the whole system of runescape combat is broken. you shouldnt gain combat xp by hitting damage against your target. Having to lvl 3 or 4 combat skills for 1 combat level is insane making it impossible to reach max level without having no life. WOW is everything runescape fails at doing.

Also the only problem with RS now is game play. If they added WASD (Which they seem to be doing since they are adding a sky) then it will be a much better game. You know nothing about RS. First off there is endless game play. The level cap isn't hard to achieve, a few hours a day where you barely even need to play (Your either AFK, Buyable or Agility/RC/Dungeoneering)
i understand the level cap is achieveable but it take a LONG time to achieve that level. Most people in ruenscape are NOT level capped, so youcant enjoy all the high end game things the game might have to offer. cool you have a boat ride and stuff but wouldnt you rather actually control your mount and participate in riding an animal to your next location? It doesn't really take that long. You can max the likes of prayer, con, herb, cooking, fletching, range in a couple of days. AFK-Able skills such as wc/fishing/mining after 77, att/str/def/hp can all be afk'd. DG, Rc, Slayer do take quite some time.
You don't need to max out every skill to benefit in late game. I only have 6 99's and allot of my stats are still in the 60s but I can still do pretty much everything a maxed player can do.
@slowdude A game is meant to be fucking played, meaning you sit and you do the work and you actually play the game to get shit done...not right click a fucking tree and then leave for a bit and come back and be like "oh WOW 5 levels!!" no, fuck that all your skills in wow you have to actually work for. and skills like fishing in WoW dont contribute to your players actual level, they help you make money and food for raids and buffs. And now that i think of it Rs hardly even has an end game
I would rather take a boat ride to go from the Elf Lands to Mos Le Harmless (Pirate island) as it takes a second. Why would I want to run on a mount through the entire game to get to something that takes a mere second to accomplish. I have play imitations of WoW (Perfect World for example) where teleporting kills all your money fast so you have to run/mount/fly to every location and it takes for fucking ever. Taking a boat ride is quicker thus more logical to use.
@slowdude In wow when you have to cross an ocean, you can take a boat which is just a loading screen and then your there, you dont have to swim across the ocean. but when on a continent you do have to take a flight path to get some where and wait a few minutes, is that so hard lazy ass? The level cap isn't hard as you don't actually have to play more then half the skills. AFK'ing has made the game to easy. There is no continent irs, so far as Jagex are lazy we only have the main land.
There are better alternatives. You skill for nothing but pride. No action, just useless pride. Once you hit the 80s in WoW, you pack the punch, master the moves, and move faster.
Who says i even play RS anymore? I'm playing Perfect World, Just started LOTRO and playing a variety of FPS games like TF2, Soldier Front, GMod. Skill for nothing but pride? Having 99 in all combat stats is a big difference to someone who has 80 in all combat stats. At 80 you can use everything the person with 99 in all stats can but the person with 99 in all stats will destroy the lower level. The non combat skills irs are useless yes. The only thing holding RS back is no WASD.
Though having a boat go to most locations in the game doesn't really make sense. I never understood why the same boat ride can take you everywhere in the southern ocean but who am I to complain about the ease. I am lazy, jealous? I do play WoWripoff being perfect world. Getting my first mount meant i could run at 10m/s instead of 1m/s. I'm going from bottom to top in responses btw. Teleporting irs costs nothing as well. I mean even if i teleported a few hundred times a day irs it'll only cost 100k-200k which can be made in less then an hour. Also I don't just play RS, I play quite a few games as I like variety.
@slowdude i think most people would agree that flying around on a dragon that you worked for and reflects your in game experience and hard work is much cooler than hopping in a canoe and riding down a river that some how magically connects to all points in RS. Also gear in WoW reflects your experience and ahrd work and in rs it just reflects how hard youve grinded to get that gear for the most part...OR got a LUCKY kill in the wildy that every1 had a bitch fit about when they removed it...

@slowdude I need not search WoW vids as I've frequented all of them across the board, and had been present for a great amount of time. The majority is not WoW players -- it's just the objective fact. Posts =/= people and for every one of me, there are 4-5 people, Rs fanboys to be exact, that I am responding to on a consistent basis. A fair point to make is the majority of posts as a consequence, may or may not be by WoW players, depending on the amount of responses and the video.
It doesn't taker forever to get around RS. You can get to most places in the game within a couple of minutes as there is teleports, boat rides, other methods of transportation etc to pretty much every part of the game. Seriously to go from the most eastern point to the most western point literately is a boat ride away.

The blacksmithing in WoW actually has means and ends to it that offer more variety and purpose than Rs's does. Furthermore, the grinding involved with blacksmithing in WoW doesn't effect 90% of the game like Rs. Keep fishing for a reason... it's likely you'll find none.

The only things I can think of that makes Runescape better than World of Warcraft is. 1.) A member ship to Runescape is much cheeper than A member ship to World of Warcraft. 2.) You really don't have to play a long time to figure out and understand the game in depth. But over all I personally think World of Warcraft is a better game.

There are skills, just like runescape, cooking, skinning, blacksmith, enchanting, leather working, engineering, and so much more.

I played Both, but i don't play FailScape anymore, cause it got nerfed. Even "wilderness"(PvP) is gone, why gone? Because the new pvp system FAILS!!
Reason why wow is much better; you have always something to do, FaGeX updates rs like every week, but boring and completely pointless updates. They just nerf it. In WoW, there is patches, they make instances, not like FailScape. just Godwars or corporal beast. Godwars is way too easy, Soloed it so many times.

WoW has 36 awards and RS has 0 for a reason... and yes it sucks compared to WoW, graphics, fighting (omg you click a special bar or prayer at MOST lol)... most skills are boring and very, very, very tedious and barely differ as you level. WOW vs RS. the whole system of runescape combat is broken. you shouldnt gain combat xp by hitting damage against your target. Having to lvl 3 or 4 combat skills for 1 combat level is insane making it impossible to reach max level without having no life. WOW is everything runescape fails at doing.

Also the only problem with RS now is game play. If they added WASD (Which they seem to be doing since they are adding a sky) then it will be a much better game. You know nothing about RS. First off there is endless game play. The level cap isn't hard to achieve, a few hours a day where you barely even need to play (Your either AFK, Buyable or Agility/RC/Dungeoneering)

It doesn't really take that long. You can max the likes of prayer, con, herb, cooking, fletching, range in a couple of days. AFK-Able skills such as wc/fishing/mining after 77, att/str/def/hp can all be afk'd. DG, Rc, Slayer do take quite some time.
You don't need to max out every skill to benefit in late game. I only have 6 99's and allot of my stats are still in the 60s but I can still do pretty much everything a maxed player can do.

I would rather take a boat ride to go from the Elf Lands to Mos Le Harmless (Pirate island) as it takes a second. Why would I want to run on a mount through the entire game to get to something that takes a mere second to accomplish. I have play imitations of WoW (Perfect World for example) where teleporting kills all your money fast so you have to run/mount/fly to every location and it takes for fucking ever. Taking a boat ride is quicker thus more logical to use.

Who says i even play RS anymore? I'm playing Perfect World, Just started LOTRO and playing a variety of FPS games like TF2, Soldier Front, GMod. Skill for nothing but pride? Having 99 in all combat stats is a big difference to someone who has 80 in all combat stats. At 80 you can use everything the person with 99 in all stats can but the person with 99 in all stats will destroy the lower level. The non combat skills irs are useless yes. The only thing holding RS back is no WASD.

I am lazy, jealous? I do play WoWripoff being perfect world. Getting my first mount meant i could run at 10m/s instead of 1m/s. I'm going from bottom to top in responses btw. Teleporting irs costs nothing as well. I mean even if i teleported a few hundred times a day irs it'll only cost 100k-200k which can be made in less then an hour. Also I don't just play RS, I play quite a few games as I like variety.

You can get to most places in the game within a couple of minutes as there is teleports, boat rides, other methods of transportation etc to pretty much every part of the game. Seriously to go from the most eastern point to the most western point literately is a boat ride away.

Runescape has Zero game design in it. There is no skill, there is no role play, there is no fun. It's just an endless grind fest. Everything can be leveled up for little to no purpose.

The blacksmithing in WoW actually has means and ends to it that offer more variety and purpose than Rs's does. Furthermore, the grinding involved with blacksmithing in WoW doesn't effect 90% of the game like Rs. Keep fishing for a reason... it's likely you'll find none.

I played runescape till lvl 80 and then sold my account for £47 BECAUSE The games shit.
When I started runescape, everyones begging for money , lagging around at gaybridge.
And, if your 1 level lower than some one your a "n00b"
If your a higher level than someone your apparently a "FUCKING FATASS" then you get banned.
You can't even swear on the game.

Runescape has Zero game design in it. There is no skill, there is no role play, there is no fun. It's just an endless grind fest. Everything can be leveled up for little to no purpose.
Runescape is not even in the same genre to MMORPGs such as World of Warcraft. It's like Pong to any 2010 Sport game and saying they are the same.
Runescape is popular because it's free and runs on the shittest of computers. If World of Warcraft was free and could run on any computer, Runescape would not exist.

The only things I can think of that makes Runescape better than World of Warcraft is. 1.) A member ship to Runescape is much cheeper than A member ship to World of Warcraft. 2.) You really don't have to play a long time to figure out and understand the game in depth. But over all I personally think World of Warcraft is a better game.

on my opinion wow its good but not too good.. and rs.. well kept me playing for over 6 years... i do not care about graphics.. i got a ps3 for that i cant let go of rs. hahah and wow i just played about 2 weeks and it got compleatly boring... did not know what to do there no people to talk too and if there are some they dont talk.. and wow people are major sht talkers... so.. yeah thats my opinion

@lordbako Well, if you got past lvl 20 and actually gave the game a chance. How is rs better? You stand still and right click, the whole time, eating swordfish out of your back pack so you dont die, rs doesn't take any thought or skill, you just get good shit and kill, then lvl up your stats to 99 for a cape, sounds like some fun! This is coming from someone who used to love rs and hated wow, before I actually gave the game a chance and started having fun, WoW is king.

@SquirrelAssauIt well, in rs its not just raising stats. its to compeat with ur friends. merch get money raise skills quest pvp and etc. and most important its to chat. wow its just raising stats and.. thats it.. they quest are weird and i heard its rep. like doing the same thing over and over... getting an item, killing some guy, killing a boss, or a dung. theres no guides and i had no pvp there i did not knew how to kill some 1 so its less organized. its still fun but didnt get it.

You apparently have never played WoW, what you "heard" is probably coming from rs retards that never played WoW either, in WoW, there is dungeons, raiding, quests, many different kinds of pvp, tiers to get for your character, arenas. I don't see what you are trying to get at about WoW being repetitive, what ISN'T repetitive about runescape? You gotta play the damn game for more than a day, download addons to improve he game. WoW takes a little bit longer.

@lordbako I forgot to mention, mounts, a shitload of stuff to explore with your friends, epic battles, gear you actually have to fight stuff for, instead getting 1 mil to buy a whip... If no one gave wow more then a day everyone would say it sucks, but those people don't have the attention span of a rat, so they get to experience the fun stuff. There are skills, just like runescape, cooking, skinning, blacksmith, enchanting, leather working, engineering, and so much more.

I played Both, but i don't play FailScape anymore, cause it got nerfed. Even "wilderness"(PvP) is gone, why gone? Because the new pvp system FAILS!!
Reason why wow is much better; you have always something to do, FaGeX updates rs like every week, but boring and completely pointless updates. They just nerf it. In WoW, there is patches, they make instances, not like FailScape. just Godwars or corporal beast. Godwars is way too easy, Soloed it so many times.

okay, so your opinion states that the "skills" of runescape.. which is how fast you grind, is better than having a minimum of 4 spells at level 1? and a minimum of 40 at lvl 70?
and,WOW's quests arent the same.. there is the "Wanted" posters that claim taht u must kill a boss, and other quests say u must take to people, other quests say u must go to a cave or dungeon ad inspect it? FFS, is the "Romeo and Juliet" quest Rs has, prove anything more than RS is a game for kids?

If you consider right clicking a mouse on character fun, then watching paint dry must be amazing. There is so much to do in WoW, don't call us nerds cause your the worst kind of nerd, a rs nerd. WoW actually requires thinking and a brain.

WoW has 36 awards and RS has 0 for a reason... and yes it sucks compared to WoW, graphics, fighting (omg you click a special bar or prayer at MOST lol)... most skills are boring and very, very, very tedious and barely differ as you level. Only difference between mining rune and copper is you have to be luckier with rune. No more fun. Other skills can give better money. I can go on with other aspects, but yeah, 36 > 0. Sorry, you fail.

Honestly in all these vs things all that happens is rs looks dumb because their graphics are worse. So WoW players all "prove themselves" by saying rs is sooo boring. Blah, Blah, Blah.
WoW players almost always seem to hate rs btw?
