@TheLolzatyourfacemoo You have nothing to worry about! I'm 6 months and 5 days in (tst method also), and I still get the occasional loc unravel. Everybody's hair matures/mats at different rates, especially depending on the hair texture. Some people have an easier transition, others like me need lots of patience and faith lol. Don't be afraid of water tho, because locs love em! I noticed a lot less unraveling around my 5th month, when my hair started to bunch and bud. Stick in there!

@gillette4444 you would have to backcomb your hair and then interlock it with a crochet needle. That works better for straight hair to prevent it from unravelling but it does take a lot of time depending on the size of your locs. good luck.

@gillette4444 oh you can still get your hair dreaded! you just have to use a different method (backcombing or crocheting and the palm twist method, if u have long hair)

find a professional who does dreads for straight hair. u will get better results than if u tried to do it yourself...
