I've learned a truth that is incomprehensible to most people like you and that's the fact that we're on this beautiful planet, and in this universe, for a small speck of time. That it's better to use that time for good and not spending it in deference to bronze age fairy tales and apologizing for being human. Having this knowledge has made me appreciate life more so than I did when I believed in such drivel. I am truly free from the confines of religion.

@noooblover It also has some pretty disgusting,depraved, and questionable things in it also, like advocating slavery, genocide, and the murdering of infidels, etc. I am not arguing that there aren't good things in the bible, there are indeed, but there are also extremely horrible and down right wrong things in it also. For a book to be marketed solely as "the good book" and have such horrible things inside of it, then it is not only contradictory, but also unworthy of my admiration and worship.

I have friend who is agnostic atheist he is a good person and gets really easily affended on his beliefs. As I understand, the United States of America was not founded on any kind of religion, otherwise the USA would be a theocracy and not a democracy. I am not aware of any changes done to the first amendment.

Also, as I understand, Hitler was actually a catholic (and as far as I know, catholicism is one of many sects of the christian religion, and also the largest.)

All Atheism is an absence of belief in any deities, nothing more and nothing less.
