Sometimes, as he would hear me climbing up the steps to our apartment, he would start playing Amapola on the piano, so I would hear it arriving home. Wish I could go back in time....

I was born in 1952 ... so I'm OLD!! This song was one of the lullabyes my Mom always hummed and often played to me on our piano each night. When I saw the movie recently ... I recognized the song as THAT lost melody that still sometimes plays in my head when I'm falling asleep!!
