Letterman's right about the food - but not so much the 'addiction" but because of the sneaky additives. Corn syrup (for just 1 example) is in EVERYTHING - we should put real sugar back in the foods & use the corn for ethanol, & kill 2 birds (diabetes & terrorism) with one stone! I wouldn't have the conscience to invite Kirstie Alley on my show. I think that scientology is compounding the problem of her weight, and this is just high-quality denial.
It's saddening, because she seems like such a nice person. I wouldn't be surprised if in a few years we hear the real cause behind this weight gain.
What is nourished will be the ensouled body insofar as it is ensouled, with the result that nourishment (i.e. food) is related to the ensouled, and not coincidentally

She's awesome!! As for the food producers in the U.S.... I'm in Canada and recently bought a box of Special K in the U.S., there were more calories and more sugar in the U.S. box compared to the same brand and amount here. Maybe that's part of the problem.
