I have a very bad experience with the Galaxy S2 GPS. It takes about 4 minutes to lock onto the GPS satellites even i you are out in the open. I have seen better performance in cheaper phone like the Nokia 5XXX music express series. I hope Samsung will fix this problem...
@B2359 Not sure what problems are in play with your handset there, but your experience is not normal - for the vast majority GPS is fine - have you considered taking it back to the seller?
Anyone noticed the speed increments in their galaxy sII? Notice how the speed is displayed in the video, it only shows 4,7,11,14,18,22,25,29,32,36,40,43,47,50. The i9000 can display any speed but the s2 can't.
@froitube12345 that app at the bottom is GPS status/ status plus, i got it, and it does increment on every phone, iv'e had that app on the htc wildfire, the x10 mini, and my current galaxy s portal (that has a terrible GPS signal without my "foil wrapped around the gps antenna exposed under the back case" trick, it now works pretty well :)
Google navigation uses gps correcting features.. so the location is almost everytime locked to the nearest road.. you should test this with google maps.
@rkan2 That might be true for the navigation track, but doesn't apply to the GPS screen on the bottom left, which is tracking the actual position data (it was taken on a separate run over the same route, as I mentioned in the video, can't screencast two different apps simultaneously).

only 4m accuracy? still haven't fixed it I guess

@patrickwasp You do realise that the best accuracy possible on a non-military GPS unit is 10f (3m) right?
So yes, I would consider it fixed.
