  • Wei does not seem comfortable with them. However, again, his tone and voice are beautiful and what Rossini would have wanted in a singer.

That said, what Rossini and the school of bel canto didn't intend, and what is very hard to do in a piece like this, is the intrusive "h" that somehow seems to add a little hop. For example, "Già l luhuna, è in mehezzo al mahare...". The sound may sound interesting, but words don't. Also, Rossini also wrote this piece with an emphasis on the As that weren't given to them.
