To those people who can't find drivers.

Before installing xp on netbook or laptop:

Check your manufacturer and model of your laptop if it has driver xp.

If it dosent have 1 then you can't install xp on your system sorry.

If you install xp without drivers it will be fked up.

Followed your advice and did it with a Compac mini 100c-1010EV and windows xp. The only prob i encountered with the steps, is that i have an 8 Gig. memory stick and used HP tool to format it. PEtousb supports only up to 4 Gig sticks. Also i dunno how to and if i will remove the 2nd option but i guess it can be done by editing BOOT.INI

i tried following the other guides, but with the troubleshooting and hal.dll error, you just made it very simplified and easy. thanks a bunch.

If you are still getting the hall.dll error on option two, try going to option four, then on the next screen select the bottom XP option (from about 10 options).

Happened to me with multiple usb install programs, finally fixed it this time :D

ran into that issue not fat or fat 32 issue i reset my pc extracted the rar file to my other computer ran it in hp setting instead of the one he did format the 2 gig jump stick ntfs now it rocking as i type here loading up the jump stick i also used a windows xp pro backup cd i made ages ago when i used xp im putting it on a new book dell the nickelodeon one for a friend who had been on it for 2 weeks now and couldn't get it to work.Thanks for this man you Rock! Now, XP is getting a bit old and the Windows 7 is "taking over". Could you give it a try and challenge to load W7? Guess you need a bigger USB stick but it should be the same principle. Thanks for sharing your skills.

I think I figured my problem out. It was because USB multiboot 10 doesn't recognize the USB. Whenever I plug my USB it, they said that there is no USB connected. However, I was just using it the whole time. So what can I do now?

This is the best tutorial ever! I had every Time the boot failure at 13:30 and the Answer a1250a1250 helped me so much! So if you have the same failure all the time go back to the boot.ini and do it like a1250a1250!

Please excuse the quality of this video, it was made in 2008! Some of you seem to have problems with the USB stick creating, I have an alternative way to create it on my channel & website.

Some of you are getting a blue screen with other laptops when you hit the setup screen, this is likely because XP cannot see your hard drive, you need SATA drivers for them, and a custom install made with nlite (another vid on my channel).
