My students have both this and the G-400, and I must say the Vintage is a bit better, even though it's a bit more expensive (but not much) here. I had a student replace the Wilkinson pups with DiMarzios (DP100 + DP156) and the tuning machines with Grovers and the guitar sounded very, very professional. Overall, the craftsmanship of Vintage guitars is better, but Epis have better stock hardware (pups, tuning machines). If you're looking to replace the hardware later on, go for Vintage.
@UkeOfEarl i play a gibsons, but hey i gotta say the vintage kicks the nads out of epiphone, epi realy is cheap shite and probably made from broken beds or something
epiphone make decent instruments. gibson too. quality control sucks for both though. the only flawless gibsons are the custom shop ones..."regular" gibsons are overpriced. epiphones aren't.
@MultiMusicman97 Hi, The VS6 was supplied to us with D'Addario strings but not sure which ones exactly (sorry, can't be more specific). We were using a Roland Cube 80X amp in the video. Regards, Graeme.
that sounded disgusting on the neck and middle position (I never like neck pickups) but as soon as he flicked it into the treble I was like fuck yeah! I'm totally getting one of these if I get an SG.
they're not crown inlays, they're trapezoid inlays
