  • Here in Canada you can get Plastidip at Home Hardware. It's kind of expensive though. Home Depot no longer carries it.

  • what a helpful video! Now i can finish my suit head!

  • how do you put it on your fursuit? and do you do it when its dry or wet?

  • @theclawdeenwolf123

You just hot glue it on . And try using polymer clay . It's basically oven bake clay . It can be found at craft stores like at Michaels . That's where I get mine . The good thing is that it comes in many diffrent colors , so that helps . And you just bake the nose and hot glue it onto your fursuit ! (:

  • @pinkywingy97 oh yeah. i thought so! well... i live in kingsville and there is no michaels where we live :l are there any other things like that you can make a nose out of....?

  • @theclawdeenwolf123

    D: .. You can order some online if you want . Just go to sculpey.com . If you don't then juse use the foam , that's what my friend did , it took awhile for her to get the nose perfect , she then later painted it . Another thing I THINK might work is using duct tape , I don't think its a very good idea , but ahh . d;

  • @pinkywingy97 i dont think i'll order... i think i might just make some dried playdo xD thx for the advice though :3 imma sub yew!

  • @theclawdeenwolf123

Okay ! :D Just make sure its dry for SURE . haha . I did that one time before I discovered polymer clay and when i stuck it on it made a weird smell and it started to fall apart ^^ haha . and okay ! :D I will sub you too ! :D

  • @pinkywingy97 lol well i have some dried up playdo still (dont know WHY) and i threw it on the ground and it didn't break O_O and thx :D

  • @pinkywingy97

You can use clay, just make sure to hollow it out. The main reason for using the above is because it dries smooth and even (it buffs out all the dinks and un-evenness made when sculpting) so it's a nicer material to use if you're not good at making perfectly smooth clay molds. I used this method on a nose, that I ended up making a mold from for the noses, which, is the reason they are so smoothly sculpted :)

You can use hot glue (I use something more durable myself, but hot glue is inexpensive and easy to buy anywhere). Make sure it is dry before attaching. It might also help to attach a wire from the inside out (a small loop) that you can sew on to make sure it also stays tight.

  • can i leave it green...? o3o

  • @Niimurasama

Hahaha, you can, but I coat it so it's more durable in the long run.

  • thank you fo putting this up! but i have a question. Does that spray stuff only come in black, or are there different colors? (I need pink, sooo....)

  • @warriorspath123

I believe it comes in white, you could always spray paint it if need be after spraying the rubber on.

  • so, do you put the plasti dip on after the stuff dries or efore? and what does plasti dip do?

  • Put it on AFTER the the nose is dry. Make sure the nose is very dry and hard to the touch before you spray it. Spray it evenly (like move the spray back and forth over it for an even coat) spray it until the coat is shiny and black, then let it dry. Do that for about 6 times :) If it's drying a gray color, you're spaying too much on there at once. Spray again when it's dry and see if it dries black.

    Hope that helped :)

  • DX I couldn't find any plasti dip in home depot (I live in canada) crap... do you think it'll work without it?

  • Wow thanks for putting up a video!!!I've been thinking of making a fursuit and now I can make the nose!!!

  • Jase here (of Hitail fame) - this looks familiar! Great job and has been very durable so far with a great soft texture. Would this work for my paw pads and are you just hot gluing or stitching this on? And hey, I have the distinctive long pile fur on the way...have you had a chance to box up that fur? I need to whip me up some paws and a neck before I take too many pics. You are very creative and talented. Keep up the good work!

  • Thanks a ton you! :D yeah, been waiting on the money from papal to transfer over so I could ship it ;3 not to mention getting it all to fedex D: As far as pawpads, youcould for sure XD just make sure to coat it at least 10 times :3 you'll be using your hand and it'll scratch off easy if you're not careful X3 I hot glue or use contact cement, just shave down or part the fur where you want to stick it and you're good to go ;3

  • kl, thats helpful O.O thanks!

Um i just have one question, I'm in the UK and i dont think we had model magic here O.o is it basically the same as sculpey? or is it different?

  • could you show how to make one of your moving jaws, or at leas a head before it has been furred? maybe I'll get it then. please??????

p.s. sorry for bugging you about the jaws so much.... I'm just really frusterated in trying to find how. :)

  • Very helpful :) But I have to agree that model magic has to be covered with soemthing more sturdy. the plasti dip is excellent. Model Magic will crumble easily if it's not coated!

  • Thank you very much! I use the model magic as well, so this was very helpful. :D
