Great video, I loved the zero g part, it looked so fun. In the near future I'm going to apply for ATP cos I just love to fly and it's my lifelong ambition to be a commercial airline pilot
For those people hating... You get out of it what you put in. It is a fast paced program and YOU have to do the studying and work. If you are looking to be spoon fed you will fail. That being said, I have been through the course and will be instructing for ATP starting February. All I can say is it is worth every penny I spent!
ATP is an absolute joke. If you want to bust a bunch of check rides, not learn anything (they lost their accreditation to do ground instruction) and piss away 40 grand, then ATP might be for you.
I just finished my cross countries today. I'm from the long beach training center and they flew us all the way out to louisiana. We stopped at the Arlington and Addison training centers, and a few other airports in texas. How do you take the heat? Like it was insane.
@JasonSchwerin It wasnt easy but it sure does make you enjoy the sim. Also tried to spend as little time in the air as possible and carried tons of water. but @ 10,000 it was fine lol
I would like to know if the international atp school does the same things as you did. Because I'm from Spain and I'm coming soon. Also if it is worth for people like me, I mean, people who has lived in other countries.
@isemeyerireland that's what I had coming in. Just stay ahead of everything if possible especially the written tests you have to get done during your cross country. Oh and don't forgot to enjoy the journey, and don't worry about the destination!
Do you like atp? There is a lot if questionable reviews that come from X- Trainees That say the school has only one main purpose, and that is to take your money. Im going to be attending the school in las vegas but don't want to spend the $30,000 more then a fbo school...
@b3astieboi2 it's a great school and the best location to get a lot of multi-engine time. Also, they have good connections for jobs. I can send you more info if you would like but email me at kc52589@yahoo.com with the subject line ATP so I don't confuse it for junk mail. Have a great day!
@b3astieboi2 The money has been worth it for me, you get good hours in a short time with good aircraft. I also enjoy them making you fly everyday since eventually that's what you will be doing so if you don't like it in training then I highly doubt you will like it as a job. Other than that though everyone has there own experience, their scheduling could be a little more consistent but that's no big deal in the big picture.
In your time at ATP, what was your favourite aircraft to fly
