I've been wondering why all these people keep hating on Vinyl? maybe they are just scared to play them since they don't have their laptop there to sync the song when they start to train wreck. I use Traktor time coded Vinyl for the songs that producers only release as mp3's =( otherwise I search high and low for records and buy on hunch's =D

@ZoomZip Just different way of playing. Vinyl is what was used originally to DJ. It can still be used today to control something like Traktor or Serato(the most popular DJ programs(don't use Virtual DJ)) by using timecode vinyl(the same is done on CDJ's by using timecode cd's). This guy is constantly replacing the vinyl in his set which means he is not using timecode. He is using original records. BTW, Pioneer is just a company that made the CDJ's. Pioneer is not a form of DJing.

Why are CDJs so prominent and so widely used by world class DJs to dj beginners? I met some people who use traktor and they said its better than pioneer. Thanks for the reply though

@ZoomZip Virtual DJ is okay for beginners but it doesn't have or give the functionality that more popular programs use that one may need to learn. It gives the basic functionality, however. Also, the reason that CDJ's are popular among almost every range of DJs is for the same reason DJing vinyl became popular. And, what exactly do these people mean by,"Traktor is better than Pioneer"? I don't quite understand what they mean.

I know you tried to mix in 5 tracks in 10 minutes, but dude that was pretty awful. You had a couple of decent transitions (mouth to mouth is one of my favourites), but track 5 just flat out sucked, and the transition between 5 and 6 sucked even more.

btw i started djing 1month ago also with vinyl.

Even if they are more expensive its such a cool feeling to play them. And in my opinion if you are using the right catridges its sound better as CD or MP3.

The mixer has two master outputs. I conected one output pair to the microphone input on the video camera and tried to keep the level at 0 dB. Another tip is to not write the track names in the video as I did. It is not woth the time and you must be 100% sure you get it right. I would actually prefer to have them in the info window anyway. :-)
